This is my first grow and I'm so excited, my plants are looking healthy (from what I can tell). I am growing 4 blue dream @ day 28 in a closet that is 70x23x66 inches under cfls for veg then a 1000watt HPS that dims for flower. I was dead set on scrogging my girls but after I got home from home depot I realized I didn't get enough pvc to make my frame... well now what do I do ?! I decided to tie a string around my pot to act as an anchor then tie a string from each big branch to my anchor string pulling down to grow the branch horizontally. I am doing this 1) in hopes of letting the center branches get a ton more light to beef them up before I throw them in flower. 2) drastically lower the height of my plant so I can again, get better light distribution. Has anyone tried this? I am for seeing that these branches are going to get super heavy in flower so I will need yoyo's or something to that effect to keep the branches from breaking. Here are so pics. Let me know what you think please . Oh and by tyingthe branches down I saved about 1 foot in height but made my plants much wider which is okay for my situation. The tops are already starting to turn up towards the light which is great.
