We are all adults here (except for the teen crowd) learning about how to do something illegal. It's kind of funny that we'll take exception to a half-naked pic when you see lots more skin on your typical late night TV show. However, I am a male and a girl with leaves covering her privates barely gets my attention. To a resident female, it may be offensive. If that's the case, we need to establish some standards of decorum. I've dropped the eff bomb a couple times on here. Maybe that's unacceptable too? What about the sex thread? Is that offlimits too? Mogie, I appreciate all you do on here and I have nothing but respect for females but I haven't seen anything that's offensive. I haven't seen any nudity. Just my 2 cents.

The moderators should be notified if it is a problem. It doesn't matter to me. Everytime I look at a lovely woman I see her naked. I've got X-Ray imagination.

I'm not sure, as like someone else said, I barely notice.

Although if the ladies find it offensive maybe they should be cooled down. I think so long as it isn't outright porn then you can't really stop people from having these types of avatar.

It makes a man feel more manly to advertise the fact he likes women, naked women...

Mogie, just use a guy... don't worry about our feelings I'd disregard it in much the same way.

I haven't seen any nudity on here since I joined. I am no prude but I didn't come on here for porn - there are thousands of sites for that. Personally, I don't see why anyone would want to have a woman with pot leaves covering her privates. Is that supposed to arouse us or inform us he digs women? I know the pic in question but I forget who used it. People were paying him compliments on how hot his girl was. Finally, I pointed out that the pic was from another pot site. I saw the same pic there. LOL. Kids these days...they do the craziest things (said in a Russian accent).

The bottom line is Mogie is one of us, and a team player.

If she finds it offensive, than we should seriously look at that.

VM, I agree with that EXCEPT......who defines what's indecent? If I had that same chick in a bikini holding the leaves, would that be indecent? What about if she's wearing a thong? Some find that indecent. What if the woman is clothed but is grossly obese? That would be offensive to some people. All I am saying is unless we make this a closed forum, where subscribers are screened and the rules are made very clear, we are on a slippery slope when it comes to "protecting" the masses from being offended.

BTW, if you knew me, you'd know I'm against any form of degradation of women. I'm probably the only guy I know amongst my friends who is actually turned OFF by nudie bars. Haven't been in one in years. And no, I don't play for the other team. LOL.

I don't do bars at all, nudie or not.

My point however is purly out of respect for Mogie.
She is here as a volunteer, working her butt off to help us.
If she finds something offensive, did you want to insult her and challenge her? Or would you want to fix that problem?

This is a small family, we have our problems, but we are still a tight community, and if Mogie finds some avitar offensive, than we should fix it.

I gotta be honest, and I will not name names, but there use to be a member here who had a totally offensive avitar, and it use to bother me whenever I saw it. sure, I just looked the other way, but again, this is also a respect issue.
Mogie sure has earned it. She supports us.......
Lets support her now!

I could live with whatever we decide, I just don't want this to turn into a fascist site. There was an avatar about Jesus. As a practicing Catholic, it offended me but I won't impose my own beliefs on another. I guess what I am saying is that the pic in question was MILD. Mogie is a darling and is extremely helpful to all on here. If there was some blatantly vulgar pic, I'd be right there supporting her. I just don't see it in this case. However, I could care either way whether we restrict avatars or not. We will lose members if we start restricting their free speech, though.

If ADMIN could somehow pinpoint and get rid of all the 8th 9th and 10th graders on here then the Offensive avatars would probably follow.

That is the problem....(to a large degree)

I've been to plenty of other grow sites, and none of them have the avitars found here at rollitup. Are we a grow site, or a porn site?

I have nothing against naked women at all, in fact I've posted more than a few pics of chicks with weed, totally naked. It is much easier to ignore a thread, and not read it, than it is to ignore someones avitar.

I know this is somewhat off topic but I also noticed that the Post count status by Mogies name says "Mr.Ganga" .

I dont know if it would be a pain in the butt for administration but I wonder if they could make that key off of a checked box asking whether the person is a male or female during sign up for membership, which would give female members a "Mrs.Ganga" instead.

If you consider this a non issue just ignore it , I'm just thinking out loud.:idea:

I'm a red blooded male just like you but I think we ought to show at least a little respect for the female members who dont want to be reminded on a Marijuana growing website through the use of "In your face Avatars:" that their gender is so commonly portrayed as sexual objects.

I'm not empathetic.
I just don't see why people should waste time worrying about hurting feelings on the internet, or respect for women on the internet.
It's the internet. It's not real. It's intangible. Don't worry about what's on it.
