My plants lost their smell second week into bloom. Any ideas why?

Yea, I don't fully understand what they're referring to at times. Like, I understand cutting it but do u cut branches of the entire stalk.and hang it? I'm a very literal person and it sometimes vagur to me. I think being so new to any of it it's probably just me.

Even then. It's a plant lol! I have a big fruit/ veggie garden, and cultivate rare fuschias and Lillie's but they are very predictable. MJ not so much lol

Oh yes we have all been in your shoes when we first started it's normal lol I'm wondering if there's any good videos on the web for you to watch that might be way easier for you to get the basics of what to do as far as cutting/curing I'm sure you will still have questions after watching videos but at very least you could pick up the basics

I cut individual branches after I remove all large leaves of course. Then il give the buds a trim before hanging them.....some people will trim the actual buds after they dry them but I find it a lot easier to trim while there freshly cut off the plant and yes I cut branches off the main stalk leaving myself enough room at the end of the branch to hang it

As far as how long to hang before jars it differs you just have to be very vigilant after about day three since it's your first time there's nothing wrong with waiting until the day the branches first start to snap then go to the jars ......I don't want to overwhelm or confuse you but there's lots of things that can factor in on how long it takes for them to dry mainly temperature .......and when I decide to chop a plant I just harvest the whole thing personally

There's a lot of methods of harvesting - you should watch a few YouTube tutorials and see what method you think would be the most comfortable with!

2 big harvest no-nos:

1. Drying too fast/over-drying before you cure (grassy taste, less potent)
2. Jarring before they are dry enough (buds can mold)

Just pay attention to them, find one tutorial and follow it to the letter instead of combining methods. You'll do fine!

Thank you, I will. Like ABM said, I'm just gonna pick a plan, study the hell out of it and stick to it.
