Is 600w hps enougth for 6 plants

Hi just wondering is a 600w hps bulb enougth for 6 plants in a 120x120x200 grow tent had a few comments saying I should put more lights on in there in previous posts so eny info would be helpful the plants I got going atm are my profile picture on here my phone won't let me upload eny atm cheers

Depends how big you want them plants to be, you should be ok tho

I get "about a lb" (3 zips per) out of 6 plants under a 600w MH with very basic LST and topping. Not quite 4 harvests a year. Crippled by having only one room for everything. Plants cover an area of about 4.5'x 7'x 8'. I rotate position every water

@Diabolical666 is too kind as I am still pretty much a newb and have been learning from her and other experienced growers like her for going on 2 years. Cool part is I have just scratched the surface. My simple method gets tweaked with baby steps every grow.

I'm a curious bystander in this thread. I also have a 600w medium sized hood and I'm going to do 9 plants. I wonder if thats too many now.

I did 8 in the same space I mention. By most standards, I should have at least 1000w, but ...

Glad I stumbled on this thread.

We just installed our 600w hps hood w/cool tube. HUGE difference from LED.

Currently there are 8 plants (all autoflower, 5 gal smart pots) under the light (bulb guide said approx. 2 ft above plants)--the big hood is spreading the light so well. We should be able to fit 9 on the flowering side of the tent.

Edit: ...and they did just fine. 6 filled the canopy also and actually yielded more (albeit with training changes). Bottom line is although 8 fit in my 600w space, only about half were in the "sweet spot".
