Bugs, burns or light? Or all 3?

What's RIU?

Been getting some decent advice over in newbie Central about some leaf damage I have. Little white spots, bigger yellow indentations, holes and slice like lines, now I'm getting holes on new growth and now mutated leaves. I've continued to feed at 1/2 dose a+b, (rhizotonic got left out as off today) 1/2 dose cannazyme, to hopeful progress on the ph balance situation. My main question is as the title suggest what's causing this damage? Plants are half way through there 3rd week vegging, just showing first pre flowers. Grown in canna coco fed every day for the last four days at 1/2 strength, runoff 20-30%, ec 1.0, ppm 536, ph 5.8. Hope I can get some more decent feedback on this so I can go all in with the treatment. Cheers in advance people.image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Could very well be, hence the reason I'm asking. Very much doubt he's biting holes in the leaves tho, might have possible over fed them and or have other company in with him lol. Cheers for reply

There's an bug hiding in your room that's eating her up.
Those pics are a tad blurry for me to see too well but the holes look like some sort of mechanical damage not insect related. My opinion only.
Thanks for the replies. (Forgive the noob) Mechanical damage? I know the odd leaf got nicked inbetween pots during moving. But can nutrients cause holes. They start off like white round circles and lime green lines/ indentations which digress into the odd hole and yellow and a new bit of mutated growth (twisted leaves, and holes. Dropped the rhizotonic and cannazym as suggested and just using a+b to see if this helps. I've been back and forward haha holes like bugs, yellow like burns haha. Cheers again for the help

Mechanical damage meaning perhaps the leaves got pinched between two pots or something is poking or rubbing against them. But the picture Im seeing now is much better and the holes do look possibly like something is chewing on them.Forgive me for I am unsure of the yellowing at this point.

Have you seen anything flying around in or near your room cause it really does look like you may have something just as interested in your plant as you

@Jimmy Sparkle.Yeah that's what I thought you meant. Defo on lower leaves are due to my clumsiness haha (nicks and odd tip missing).

Many thanks indacouch, I've only every noticed one small gold moth which got dispersed of. N checked underside an tops of leaves.. Only thing I have found was what looked white eggs but under a x60 mini microscope look just like salt crystals? And also what I thought was dried coco, could these really be eggs and bug poop, rather than salt and coco haha. Thanks for the interest. Here's a pic as a whole, rather than pics of damage.

Have you tried touching the things that look like eggs do they seem sticky or attached to your leaf in any way .....cause those pics you just posted look pretty good overall IMO

Yeah i did think that cos, when I try and blow them off, some of them seem to stay on unless I move/ agitate them, then blow on them. Nd when I shake the plants they don't always fall off. Got an insecticide to spray, gonna give the leaves a coating, lights off in the morning. Have you or anybody got any suggestion about applying diatomaceous earth? Nd yeah they do seem healthy other than the obvious, just panicking cause it's my first proper grow and it's effecting the odd new growth with holes and mutations. Cheers again bro ;)

that's caused by insect bites I believe, tiney pinhole and less, no biggy, at least where I reside in wales .
cuts on leaves usualy point to wheevle activity (bug bites roots and leaves show cuts)
Stress must be a factor, as ive got the cuts but no bugs. just as a precaution I removed it from soil and plonked it into my aeroponic setup.
ill try a photo

that's just transient bug damage man, don't worry about it at all.
Some bug stopped by for some fast food and went on his merry way.
You ever put that plant outside?

Thanks bro, any idea if a py based insecticide or diatomaceous earth would be any good for killing and prevention of these lil buggers? And I know all five have various symptoms but the ones I've trained, topped and fimmed defiantly shown more signs of cuts and holes. Gonna have little read up on effects stress can have.

Haha I did smirk myself when I read it, wasn't very helpful to identifying my exact problem, but made me smile as I know he's right about it being me hahaha, just dunno how. I know when I first used to feed them I used to pull them out cupboard into main room, which was more exposed and has easier access for my cat and dog ( never in the cupboard itself but in the room the cupboards in lol. So since have cover the gap at bottom of the door, got a magnetic bug net inside it and de sprinkled around floor to hopefully combat it before it enters. Lights have just went out so treat it with a generous spray of vital py spray hopefully get some of the fuckers to die or move on haha. Thanks for input mate, appreciate them

Sorry to bump a thread I thought/ hoped was done for.

Any of the RIU fam have any input as to what my next battle is.. I'm thinking it looks like the start of a zinc dif.
Has been given the same treatment as the others and 2/5 have this on new growth and other 3 are starting to develope the same. Thought it could initially be the lights as only the top new growth is affected. Raised the light a few inches ( defo no discomfort on back of hand). Problem seems to be spreadings down the side of the leaves after startin at the tip only... Many thanks will be given. Peace image.jpg
