First Grow 72 Plants Michigan

Greetings rollitup community, I have been studying for years before my first attempt and I want to get this rite the first time. That being said I'll jump rite in.
I have a budget of $17,000 and want to start with hydro to cut down on veg/flower time. (I understand the taste difference but I need to become self sustainable in the shortest amount of time)
I'm going to get 10 1000w HID's two will be converted to HPS just for flowering and I'm going to cycle 4 stations (2 lights a table) for veg. If I time this rite I can have a continual harvest.
Other equipment I'm going to get includes AC, water cooler, carbon air filters, co2 tanks, pumps, bluelabs guardian monitor, ext ext.
I will be renting that always sucks but there are a few things I'm not sure about including what hydro setup, nutrients, whether to mainline or trim, and safety. I have not found a house yet I'm moving mid November.

Any thoughts hit me up I'm open to critique.

I apologize for spelling and punctuation math is my shit.

I haven't added the cost of an electrician ether so if anybody has a rough estimate please post it.

Look for a house with an unfinished basement. With $17000 you should be able to fill the canopy. I'm assuming you have a separate room upstairs for veg. If your flower room is say 30' by 20', the Avg footprint of a 1200 Sq ft house. Now assuming you have a full open unfinished basement of 600 Sq ft we go length wise 30' and put a light with the reflector turned width wise every 5 ' which makes 6 lights, and width wise 20' and put a light with the reflector in line length wise every 4' that's 30 1000W lights 2' above the canopy for a 600 Sq ft space.

Ye a your doing 144 in soil...he wants half (it seems like pretty rare coincidence to me anywho) in dwc.....big difference in what some can handle, out of those 72, he is messing up at least 30...I'm a betting man, just like you OP....just don't start blaming genetics

On that note..I'm all for someone trying to better themselves and people around them....so good luck hopefully it all goes well for you, I'm not saying that...I'm saying maybe buy everything runs rooms, get shit down and do maybe 25-30 (even 1 grow can give a substantial amount of knowledge) to each his own...goodluck

Owe for sure if a new grower wet behind the ear is going to try 70 plant grow DWC i will concur its a disaster waiting to happen Op if this is your idea Dont do it do a soil grow even out of the 144 clones i had i lost 6 - 7 4 or sure that just kealed over and couple that just wouldnt grow no room for plants that do not grow so out they go

Find someone who has experience and hire them to show you the ropes for a few grows. All the money and equipment in the world wont substitute for experience BB

It's not even the 72 plants that's alarming me, DV obv killed it in soil....OP wants to do dwc....that's where his world of trouble is....op I know your set and gung ho...but I'd seriously and sit down and weigh the pros and cons on dwc for your first....cheers...take a dab or something

you look at most big grows and there done with soil and for good reason one of the most important ones is its forgiving ..
DWC 6 hrs of power failure and your doomed one day plants are perky life is good next day there dead that fast if your getting your feet wet do it in soil way to many failure points in DWC if your a novice

Make use of 240v ballast here...install a seperate sub panel get the tall one.Run a main line from the existing house panel.
You will be charged for top tier voltage use.We are lucky living in California(legal grows)after paying .36 per kw our indoor grow cost $2200 per month running 20,000kw,now the lights are off and say hello to the GH

partners family members even wifes . what ever is not good practice to partner up we are evil creatures and when it comes to money even worse
having a partner is nothing but a headache its go in all by your self or do not do it period cause partner ships always end bad Greed Jealousy, theft is all to common

So, you've never done a grow before...but want to start with advanced growing techniques? with a partner(s) multiple strains that you have not dialed in...what could go wrong????I would get my feet wet first and KISS... Keep it simple...but thats just me...good luck.

yup had partners before and what a mess specially if there not even with growing skills you do most of the work they reap half of the money and did 1/4 of the work is this what having partners is all about
also Theft was the biggest issue for instance when it came to harvest i like to wet trim and weight in each plant from start plant weights are nice n big as we progress it was clearly seen how my so called partner was skimming taking some buds of each plant etc as weights 3000 wet grams at beginning and dropping fast
as we got to last plants like 1500 wet grams hmm and from equal sized plants lol simple theft

damn I did think about this before but I wouldn't be able to do this without there money... My lil bro and one of my buddies are helping me. My friend said just buy me a decent car and some spending cash and he will get out of my hair but my brother is another story he is very money hungry.

I didn't overlook this issue I know I'll get fucked over but if it can pay for itself rent and food at the beginning that's all I can ask for.

I'm running 10k lights and you will learn plant numbers mean nothing. Just aim to fill in the space you have and stick with a strain that can crowd each other and still get light. I would do soil first cause power out. Etc could ruin you. Last not least it's like having a full time job so get ready work some maditory overtime lol best of luck

No they don't matter how many plants does take fill in a warehouse prolly a lot. But yeild is about the space and how long you veg not plant numbers. Like when people think they can yeild more with 100 plants then 50 depends on the space more the plant numbers does not mean more yield just saying.
