Advantage of growing instead of buying

It appears to me most all the herb I've gtten from dispensaries has been bounced or tumbled for kief. The reason I have come to this conclusion is because of the difference in the amount of kief I get from a grinder with a kief screen to catch and hold them. When herb from dispensaries is ground up I only get about 1/8 to 1/4 the amount of kief I get from the herb I grow.

The herb I end up with probably has more trichomes on them for another reason: The plants are carefully cut, trimmed and hung. Careful attention when taken down, weighed, and put into jars.

they probably do, I mean once growing becomes a major source of income chances are your going to get the most out of your harvest as possible

is it really cheaper ??? i mean you have risk i am talking illegal growing you have power bills, setting up a room purchasing seeds or clones you never know if it will be successful , chance of getting robbed when you try to sell it . or home invasion ,
is it really cheaper when you need a lawyer jail time or possible repairs to rental home for damages floods , mold , etc or personal home for that matter or is it just better to say the hell with it and spend that 100 bucks every payday and just by that bag of a good source

I call it "kief night" I spend an hour and a half every week scraping the black gooy stuff off the metal parts of the grinder that stick up like teeth then mix it into the kief into a hash like paste...

Depends on if you're trying to make money or grow for personal use only.

I wish that would do it, but with my condition I'm hitting around 500 a month for myself alone buying 1.5 oz in CA. When I get in over 4 lbs. my cost goes way down so it's cheaper for me - Haven't been ripped of in 13 years and the sheriff department cleared my grow about 6 weeks ago.

Money. It only cost dimes a gram to grow great weed. Like 50 cents tops. Weed is expensive. Too expensive.

Genetics. There are so many to choose from. We can get genetics of the same grades as the dispensaries are getting.

You know what's in it and how it was grown. I mean, you know What's in it. I believe full well many of the RIU dudes, big but especially the small ones, grow connoisseur grade. For personal or whatever. Lot of love and no toxins. No additives. A lot of love goes in growing it on a personal level.

Heck. It's fun to grow stuff. Weed, bananas, cucumbers......

I have never bought weed been growing my own for ever here in California.It's the new deal to screen weed for the dry kief I have been seeing on youtube.Horse shit is a toxin so is bat shit

Some of the considerations for me are things like simply being more self sufficient with more control over what goes into the product. I like home based hobbies, too, because I'm already a fucking stoner ha, so sitting and watching my smoke grow, tinkering with the system and adjusting nutes, etc, is really relaxing and enjoyable.

I grew up on a farm and my green thumb is genetic. I have to grow something no matter what it is.

Advantage to buying, especially in a legal state; endless variety, bottomless supply

Advantage to growing in a legal state; once someone knows what they're doing, it's less expensive, better and more consistent quality, fresher.

The knowledge that you know exactly what it was and wasn't fed, treated and sprayed with? PRICELESS.

I would choose growing any day. Start up costs dont even compare to what you get out of it. As long as you have the ambition and motivation, its definitely the way to go. Just know what your smoking is huge. You can buy some shwag off the street with no idea what your putting into your lungs.

In the 4 short months that i have been growing, i have learned countless amounts of things.

Ive learned how to install a mini split, how to run electrical wire, basic carpentry skills, hydroponic and aeroponic systems, shit even basic plant anatomy, budgeting money to cover cost of nutes electricity ect.. It has made me a much more self sufficient person. Shit im only 20, and should be able to buy a house within a couple years if i budget everything correctly.

In 20 years ill feel the same exact way. Even exluding the money to be made, the skills and knowledge you will gain is incredible.

Plus the entire country has an entirely different view on marijuana than they did in 1991.
