is it a good idea to have wall mount fans blowing between the canopy and the gavita? would it displace the heat? keep in mind my gavitas will be 4 to 5 feet away from the canopy.

Yes. Fan action in between fixture and canopy is good. Just don't have fan blowing directly on the bulb.
3' is what most people recommend for a 1000w DE above canopy. I get them even a little bit closer and I'm running mine at 1150watts. Because of the fan action;-)

Do you have the e series or the original? How much you pulling per gavita?

I'm running 27 gg4 right now in 7 gallon pots. but I will be building my own tables that have a drain system. I have an electric pump and a wand. just mix all the nutes up in a rez and pump it in thru the wand. takes like 15 minuts. I'm running 90 purple berry in my other room under 3 DE's next month

That sounds awesome bro.. I'm buying gavitas for my next run.. it's time I upgraded my lights I've had the same 1000 watters for 4 years now.

I wonder if gavita is the best option for DE or is there better brands or cheaper
honestly Gavita is good not sure if there is member on this site by the name of billyboat i believe he runs big power 90,000 watts with a mix of epaps , Gavita's and Nanolux
the epaps are getting one more chance then possible changed out from our conversations the nanolux are beating the Gavitas in all areas and most importantly yields so from my understanding epaps are going to be changed out to nano;s not gavita;s but 1215 watt nanolux De's
they got some neat features soft warm up n cool down etc with NCCS cloud controller system which Gavita recenty introduced not so long ago as for light controller so in my books its Nano;s all the way and my purchases 415 dollars for 1215 watt nano is dam good price
Also here is a test comparing Gavitas and nano that he paid for and emailed me def-1.jpgtest.jpg
