Let me add a few things here

First off you're allowed to swear on Riu just not towards members
Anyone can comment on your thread it's a free forum

And while you may think since its your thread you have the right to tell people to watch their mouth and leave
You really don't because none of these people are breaking the rules

I was mainly stating that trolling the thread with useless information is not helpful to anyone.

Anyways, I will look into the LEC vs the DE and will see, but for growing 5-6 foot SCROG indoors I am not sure how the LEC penetration will stack up to the DE fixtures.

You said in a post you would research further. You should as the CDM has more spectrum then the DEs. Including plenty of PAR!

There are folks here using them and are beyond happy with them.

Read that "light" thread I linked....all the way through.

I have done some research on them and it seems they are good lights for veg and flower.
Some good stuff over at IC mag with a mate getting 8 from 10 315 LEC with 12 Plants in 20 gall Smart Pots.
They have a very small footprint, but for the price of them if going commercial they would fair well.
I still see better results with DE.
Their are pros and cons of each from heat to pricing to footprint.
Will do more research but thank you for turning me onto LEC.

I do see the spectrum on the LEC to be far better than DE.
WIll bring my conclusions here when finished.

It sounds like I'm in a debate about politics on Facebook with teenagers. Its sad that some people on here wanna hate so much. I own and use DE/OG Vert/single socket vert/LED... The thread asked for input on the use of DE. I leave input and I'm berated and insulted. Sounds like a bunch of tent growers......

Just seems myself and many other growers want to compare DE to CDM and there isnt much out their.
I want this thread to firstly discuss with real world results on CDM.
Also this will help the newbies or advanced growers who are looking into both and will help them decide.
I know I am looking into CDM currently as well as DE and I am having a terrible time finding real world results.
I have seen a few threads over at icmag about the 315 watt but still just a few plants and nothing about the 860w CDM.

I hope this thread can be informative to everyone to help us all make the choice on our situation.

I too really want to go DE. And am also interested in the question you asked in your opening post about depth penetration.

From the research Ive done DE can penatrate very deep.
Easily penatrade 6 foot plants.
Source: Grower I spoke to.
As for DE in general I suggest Nanolux over Gavita.
