dude seriously? I've already said they're feminized seeds... no males here...I disagree man. Every male I've seen is lanky as hell.

My lights have been quite high, but I always thought they're a good height. Where on the big plant would you suggest I tie it down?stretching has more to do with light placement, heat (among other issues) if you have your light too high it will stretch it out..if as a seedling you didnt keep the light close enough,.. thats a factor. plus in the first few weeks of flowering youll see the "stretch" where alot of plants can double or more in height. stretching isnt gender specific.
Relax guy, it's more of a generalized statement. I get that you later said they were feminized. Go smoke a bowl and chill.dude seriously? I've already said they're feminized seeds... no males here...
Sorry man, It may be why I'm so cranky, I have no smoke to smoke right nowRelax guy, it's more of a generalized statement. I get that you later said they were feminized. Go smoke a bowl and chill.
No problem. That's one thing I hate about feminized seeds. You never know about that. My dad always taught me to never go with those. I did try them once and all was good. But as the other poster replied, it probably is because the plants aren't close enough to the light. I always use 18 inches as a rough guide.Sorry man, It may be why I'm so cranky, I have no smoke to smoke right now
On subject tho, hopefully I'll see some preflowers soon and can find out for sure, fem seeds make me think I'll be ok, but they could hermie you never know...
10inches with cfl are to far away...my t5s stay 2 inches at most above plants no burning whatsoeverMy lights about 10" away from the big one and slightly more from the other so that can't be it either, I think ive waited too long to do anything with them, but i dunno. Maybe LST might help.
Yeah man, florescent bulbs need to be right up close to the plants or they lose penetration power. That's why they are best for cloning or starting seeds.10inches with cfl are to far away...my t5s stay 2 inches at most above plants no burning whatsoever
Ah, I see, well that could explain stretch, I was worried about burning them. I am considering doing the 24 hrs dark time today and flip tomorrow @ 6amYeah man, florescent bulbs need to be right up close to the plants or they lose penetration power. Thats the thing, I already have one blowing at the runt 24/7 and only the main stem strengthened, the others are still as stringy as ever.put a fan on them and flip the lights enough said lol
Bit too extreme for me at this stage I would say, maybe in the future, but I would rather do LST to avoid stress, could end up making plants hermie i think.View attachment 3508798
These are all topped or FMed many times.
I crush any vertical stems, by squeezing between thumb and finger.
The green stem heals it creates more vertical fibers and thickens and hardens the stem.
I crush stems all thru veg, sort of a vertical form of LST.
These are my current Veg all plants are at 7 weeks, all Stems crushed as soon as they came out of the cloning hood. I don't do a whole plant, squeeze a few spots and in 5 days they will be like rock, then do other spots.
Bless,
DZ
I can tell you right now that even a 400 watt hps would be better.Ah, I see, well that could explain stretch, I was worried about burning them. I am considering doing the 24 hrs dark time today and flip tomorrow @ 6am
Btw my flower lights are 8800 lumens, you guys think that'll be enough for 2 plants? From what I know its like 5000 per sq ft.

Well to do a decent job you would need at least 3 23w cfl per square foot. Although 5 of them would be better. A good guy on YouTube to learn from would be green ninja. He grows exclusively with cfl.Unfortunately cannot afford to buy any other stuff, the CFLs will do the job though right?
I have 2 huge 300w CFLs so im guessing that'll be enough based on what you said, i should only need 1 then.Well to do a decent job you would need at least 3 23w cfl per square foot. You would think so. I'm guessing that they aren't true 300 watters. Most of the time they say 300 watt "equivalent", which means that you are going to need more light. I'd use both of them. And remember to keep them really close, although not touching.I have 2 huge 300w CFLs so im guessing that'll be enough based on what you said, i should only need 1 then.
