upgrade!! need opinions

Hello,

So after this harvest is completed i am thinking about doing a little upgrade and would appreciate any opinions on the matter.

I am running SCROG in a 6x 12 area , i am currently running 2 - 1k raptor hoods, hps ... my upgrade idea is to add another 1k inbetween the two raptors and go with 3k watts ... i wana throw a MH in the middle of them hoping the full spectrum of red and blue will have some added benifit. My question is do you think this extra light, weather i run hps or mh, will have any effect?

I know right now the whole top of the screen i get really good coverage so idk if its worth throwing another light on and not expanding the space(withch i cant really do) ...

I was also thinking some co2 would help if i added the other light, then it may not be over kill but since im in an upstairs area there is no way to not vent, i was thinking alternating timers how ever, co2 kicks on five mins sits for 5mins and then vent for 5 and repeate , any thoughts ?

Another 1K added----yes--yes. I would use all hps.

If you're not using a light mover-----do yourself a favor and get one.

As far as co2 goes-----I suggest forget it until you're pulling close to 1g/w without it.

Don't expand your space----rule of thumb is 4x4 area for a 1K.

Nice, thanks for the reply, i know the whole gram per watt thing kinda blows me away i feel like i kill it sme times and pull 3 oz a plant... but thats still waaay low on the g per watt scale ... hopefully the light will help

It will as far as yield and quality-----if----you can control the extra heat.

I know im gona get another inline fan one pulling and one pushing, i know i rock an ac fulltime right now thats why i was thinkn bout co2 so they could handle a little more heat .. ill prob hold off on that for now and just pop in another light see what that does, winters coming so instead of the ac i can bring air from outside so at that point i suppose the o2 wouldnt be sealed in and sorta pointless

Ive been playing with bucket size and number of plants as of lately too i knw the plants ive got gettn ready for this coming harvest are in ten gal buckets (once i transplant) and im gna just rock 6 monsters vs 12 norm. Sized ... i know they are all female from seed and about 3 months old when they get flipped so im excited, itll be hard to say what factor helped the most but all in all im hoping between the extra light, the age and size of these coming up ones i do better then ever

3 leeroy kush by raredankness and three testers from norstar called dirty little secret ... i cnt wait to add this other light now .. would you recomend venting all hood seperately or all inline with two fans pushing and pulling ?
