How much more will it cost me to run a 400W CFL?

Where ya gonna get 1 400w CFL? No matter, 400w is 400w whether its CFL, or HID.
Somewhere between 15 and 20 dollars a month, depending on where you live, and it's on 24/7. Less if you are doing 18/6 or 12/12. And no, no red flags there. Thats nothing. The power supply in the average computer nowadays is at least 400w. It's like you added another computer.
I have 3 400w HPS going 12/12, and my ill spiked about 75 bucks during veg, but dropped back to about 30 now. One dude here had a 200 dollar a month spike!!

well is it like, equivalent to a 400 watt light, or does it actually use 400 watts? cause usually CFLs are like that, it'll say 400 watts but it really only uses about 90 watts of energy so in that case it'll only be like a 5 dollar increase.

A 400w Cfl bulb?Neva Seen it. U can get multiple bulbs to match 400w worth of cfl's.

In ya post u say its fine but if it says 400w equalivlent, its only about 4500lumens

No way it would match a 400 watt HID!!!! Even if you had the same wattage of cfl's to the lumen output of the HID would be more than the cfl's. You need to read up budsloyalty.

Hey I'm running 4 13w 6500k cfls on 3 plants in veg stage right now. How can I up that? That's nowhere near enough is it?

400w CFL? sorry had to be like the others, but really never seen or heard of 400w CFL....plus 400w in a PC case, LMFAO. the heat extraction coming from that case to rid of the heat is gonna give away the whole steath thing

There's no such thing as a single 400 watt cfl, but there is 400 watt T5 Fluro fixtures if thats what you mean. Otherwise if its CFLs that equal 400 watts then your bill wouldn't go up more than 10 bucks a month.
