Sunshine 4 burn.

I popped 3 bag seeds and started them in small pots with Sunshine 4 mix under 1 62w cfl they were doing awesome so I transplanted to larger pots and put them under a 400w MH to veg yesterday. Woke today to the farthest along to what I thought was heat stress burned leafs, so I raised the light a bit. Now I'm noticing the tips of the plant looking like nute burn. Flushed them with water and hoping all will be all right. I have Holland secret 3 part Nutes and was wondering how long I should wait before starting them on the scheduled feeding regime on reduced recommended amounts.?it seems like it has only been the 1 plant that has been affected.

They dont seem to.be burnt. As far as i know sunshine 4pro mix. Yellow. Orange amd red bag? Its a light soil. I sprout seeds in straight sunshine 4 all the time. R u sure thats it. Im not saying ur wrong but it doesnt seem likely

Okay. Yea ur is that aggregate plus which i havent used. Wouldnt think it would really matter though just having aggregate. Ive used the one in the photo. But they do seem okay from the pics. If u wanna try a new soul this one works but ull prolly need perlite to.add.

And from seed ive got some strain all the way to bud without nutes. But some need it, it kinda depends.

The soil i sent need no ph balancing. My water is between 7-8 but i never check because bringing it down caused nutrient lock.thw soil is my.ph buffer

I collected rainwater and it had a pH of 5.7

Now I use water at a pH of 5.7 most of the time. Sometimes I am lazy and I use my hose straight without lowering it.

For seedlings I use RO water - 7.0

I use Promix - very similar to Sunshine #4.

Ph is one of the largest disputed caus of issues in soil. My advise is change soil. The pro mix is great also, @Mohican i agree. But usually ph is at the end of occams razor in soil issue.

This is likely true. And probably even more true for sativa strains and thais. Due to the soil content of the island likely being similar to that of thais and island thais. Thr hawaiian island may even grant strains with vigor effect. Of an environment with little developed defensest to cannabis growth.

Please do not mistake my disagreement of the ph being the problem as a mark or me thinking you are not qualified. It is the contrary. Im aware of ur activity and u seem to b very skilled. And one of the few that use truely unbiased data which is appreciated.

I did switch to Promix from Sunshine 4 because I wasn't getting the results I wanted. It might just be the #4.

As i said the plant from those pic look to be okay. If u havent fed them there is a chance they r becomimg deficient. Deficiency can look like burn and it does look like on the first pic there is yellow spots?

I agree, I have grown outside in my acidic soil and my ladies loved it

I snapped a couple more pics lower leafs showing yellowing also so def already? Just transplanted into new soil bigger pots only yesterday.

So yes prolly deficiency and the other discoloration is likely due to lacking different trace elements.

How did the roots look. It might be too wet. Some of the plastic pots have areas at the bottom that don't completely drain and you can get some root rot. I started using cloth pots and solved the water issue. Now they dry out too fast!

I tried some of the Eco-Scrap soil that is supposedly veggie compost. Every plant got mad leaf claw and stopped growing. I transplanted them all to Promix and they all flourished.

I tried some Dr Earth this year and it does not hold water at all. It was great for a week and now it is like a bucket of wood chips.

I want to try hydro again I just need to have a dedicated room where I can control everything and use CO2.
