Now that Kevin Mc Carthy doesn't want Boehner's job, who do you think will be the next speaker? Why?

Does this mean Republicans are not interested in governing? Governing means compromising, Boehner did that and look where that got him.
Governing would mean having to acknowledge responsibility for the train wreck their policies have made everywhere they touch. Better to keep distracting the public from Their record- by tossing bombs at the other's!

Boehner needs to get the hell out and stop holding up the voting process. There were still two other candidates to vote on. What the hell is going on here? We will soon see a vote to push his ass out if he doesn't step aside

Yes he wants to get out, as soon as the rank and file can agree on a speaker then he'll leave. That's how it works. The position can not be left vacant, the speaker is 3rd in line to the Presidency.

This is a bunch of crap. Boehner pulled out because the vote would have gone to Webster. The cry baby alcoholic wants to hand pick his successor. He already plans on shoving Paul Ryan down our throat. The very SAME DAY McCarthy steps aside.

Look the batshit crazy in the Repukes party didn't want McCarthy, Ryan won't touch it he's got ambition, NOBODY In their right mind (deal maker) wants the job...they would have to compromise and that's a no no.

The pukes got to be careful what they wish for they might just get it, Boehner! Remember Loreta Lynch they wouldn't confirm her AG and almost wound up with Eric Holder who they hated most.

Yep, that's a tough job. Hope Paul Ryan goes for it. He'd be excellent - he's smart, savvy, and smooth.

The repukes are too fucked up to even accomplish anything! Since they've gotten control they have done nothing but screw around, like over 50 votes to repeal ACA. Total fucking idiots!

Can you believe that some of them were "audibly sobbing" when McCarthy said he didn't want the job???

Just a bunch of idiot crybabies! But not as idiotic as the people who voted for them!

Why is him being a "cry baby alcoholic" only NOW an issue with the Republicans? Oh, right, he didn't give in to the batshit insane wing of the GOP which now makes up about 90% of it.

That I didn't know, I just noticed that there's been way way more talk lately of how he's an alcoholic and I thought it was pretty funny that now it's an issue because he wouldn't shut down the government over something as stupid as PP. By the way, before you go off on a tip about how we should defund PP your own party's congressional committee found nothing. Not a single misappropriation of funds. Remember when I said it was a waste of time? :D

It is Obama threatening to shut down the government unless he gets everything he wants. Not the Republicans. You wouldn't know that though, because John is a weak leader. And yes an alcoholic, which is relevant. It's the House's job to come up with a budget. Not Obama's.

Are you the same person that when a girl is raped the first thing that comes out of your mouth is, "Well she was just begging for it to happen. If she didn't want to be sexualized she shouldn't have gone out?"

When the House does not come up with a reasonable budget, it's somehow Obama's fault? Not the fault of the people who wrote it?

You know, I remember being called unAmerican and a traitor when I criticized the Bush Administration. If you hate the President so much, why don't you just leave? ;)

First of all, Obama is only president for one more year.
Also, you and Obama stating that he should get everything he wants or else it's not "reasonable" is not how the government works. We have three branches of government with separate and equal powers.
It's not Obama gets everything he wants and everybody else just leave.
That's not how it works in a republic

That's certainly one way to look at it, however it's flawed. What the House Republicans are and were doing is no less than political extortion. Republicans use the prospect of a government shut down as a threat. So it certainly becomes: Republicans should get everything they want and everybody else should just shut up - see how it works both ways? Politics are about compromise. We've seen how contemptuous the Republicans are of democracy, republics, and the general way of government goes; such as using a default on our nations debt as a threat. They could care less, as long as they get what they want, and as I stated before that's no less than a political tantrum. They'll refuse to pass a bill unless it contains the language they want, so is that really all Obama's fault? Absolutely not. And the last government shut down? Completely the Republicans fault.

The pukes in Congress are about 1 thing and 1 thing only, collapsing the Government, it's my way or the highway for them. There is no compromising for the good of the people, constitution be damn. Our forefathers must be spinning in their graves.

Guess that's why nobody in their right mind wants to be speaker.

Ever since the morons in this country voted for the Tea baggers, we have no Government.

I hope Paul Ryan takes the job.
It will be a political Career killer
Guaranteed! There is nobody willing to step up and want the job they know they won't have the 218 votes to be the next speaker and none of the Tea baggers sure as hell don't stand a chance.

Until they can figure a way out of the mess they made, it seems like they're stuck with Boehner, he must feel like Pacino just when he wants to get out they pull him back in. He had a nightmare about that.
