Why isn't Heaven Bright paying for advertising?

Waouw, first time i hear about this heaven bright business ...

Anyone pushing in the cob business, is good for competition, prices and hence the end users we are. At least that's what I thought before I saw this ...

I don't get it ... those lights are damn inefficient, compared to a quality HPS, let alone a proper cob build with HE drivers ...

Why sell that crap ?? Why would you discredit yourself like this ?

Seems like you're not even good at it. We never talked much, but I thought you were one of the good ones AP.

RIP

EDIT : Your C6 vs a digital 600W HPS is a real joke .... just about equal output, but your light burns 100 extra watts, requires active cooling, and costs around 3 times more ...

What kind of gains are your customers suppose to make ?!

He is/was one of the good ones......but a pattern is developing, that's all I am trying to point out..

@EfficientWatt

In business, it ultimately comes down to cost. Could you happen to share a quality HPS/MH brand, besides Eye Hortilux, that you think would outperform those COB fixtures you mentioned at similar outputs? Thanks

Well I'm in europe, and never used hortilux...

I edited previous post ..

here is an example of some good HPS bulbs on a Lumatec digital ballast ...quickly crunching numbers ...

664W@wall and 1222 PPF ... that's :
- ~10% more photons/W (plug) than your light.
- at around 1/3 of the price.
- light output within same range (3% difference ?), but 90W less total dissipation.

Aquarius has contributed to the forum and shares some of his research, whatever the reasons, plus for him. His fixtures are Vero based which is also good, but it's no surprise that a thread like this comes up. No other lamp seller jumps in competition threads and talks about the product. It's just a common courtesy, and good to keep in mind that turnabout is fair play. It was only a couple weeks ago he was in my thread, asking what my lamp would offer when not 4 posts up I had detailed most of the specifics of my lamp, and then went on to speculate on how big and heavy the lamp might be. This is called casting aspersions.

This type of behavior isn't new for him. It was in April or May that I first mentioned possibly entering the market. Aquarius hadn't opened for business yet and made the comment that he wished he had the drive like us young guys (he is young) to start a venture like that (very likely his business plan was already underway at that point). Pointless lying. I point this out so maybe AP will get the drift and practice better conduct, mostly because I like the environment here and would like to see fewer threads like this.

Those numbers are super impressive and are from 2009? Yeah no one said COBS were going to be a cheap, commercial lighting alternative. For both of my past HID PAR tests, both 600W and 1000W, I used the best ballasts and bulbs available at my local hydroponics store. Maybe they don't carry the good stuff, as the V8 outperformed the 1000W units, while the V4 greatly outperformed the 600W bulbs. Those test results can be found in the All Things Vero thread.

Did you get signed permission for showing that data sheet? ;) jk

I'm delighted that you're paying attention.

Didn't say they had to be cheap .. but something HAS to be better ..

I guess I've been a little hard, but I'm not a big fan of Vero's either, or generally cob fixtures with that low efficiency seem pointless to me in light of what can be made for a little extra.

against :
- More noise
- Lower efficiency === more heat
- Same light output
- Tripple price

in favor :
- you don't have to change bulbs anymore (..)
- ?

I bet that for 800-1000$ I can find someone to change a bulb, once a year, for some years to come (joke).

You did try to throw me under the bus. I am not ready to advertise here but will when I have sufficient stock. I'm taking a different route from most on my design and my marketing. I don't think it was to cool to ask me about price knowing I could/probably would get banned. Don't worry yourself about my business. I really like roll it up and will pay due respect with a discount for everyone here for the kind words and support but my advertising efforts are in a completely different stratosphere. So dude respect others and good karma will bless you. Forgive and forget. Like I said in another thread I hope we all are successful and see the eventual change over from hps as the go to light in this industry.

Perhaps that would be entertaining but I asked a different question... Jeff claimed it was profit if I'm not mistaken, whether or not that's true doesn't really matter.
"I'm not calling you out as a troll for... but for continually bad naming me at any and every opportunity that you seek fit."

"Really? You want me beating my chests with my arms like Jeff a few months back when an area in 51 supposedly surpassed 1 million in gross revenue? Lol"

Why is that?
The owner seems to be spamming every other company who may be paying some hard earned quid. . Quite an accomplishment it seems.......
Well he doesn't have to pay for all this RIU page one publicity from all of us responding and what do they say about publicity?

IDK about you guyz but buying a COB grow light is like buying your light-saber. I though ya supposed to make your own!
