HELPP!! Nitrogen Deficiency In Super Soil

Do you pour anything in your soil besides water? Do you think it could be a possible magnesium def? If your pouring in nitrogen, does the problem get worse? Did you notice any bugs in the soil? Did you water the soil while it was cooking?

nothing but good old h20. I had bugs in soil like real early stages like seedling stage. these have been vegging for a little over 2 months. good that be it. my ammendments are running low cause it's been eating so much of it. I was thinking it could have been cal/mag and I have some cal/mag liquid my homie gave me. should I try that? even though it's a super soil grow..?

and no like it was barely damp. while cooking. I kept it damp though.

Topdress that hungry lady with a few inches of your ss mix, water it in.

That is normally right. Soil buffers its self. Maybe something in the tap water.

I've let it dry out pretty dry like once or twice I was away for a little while longer than I thought and missed watering day by 1 day. both times. why? what could that cause? microbes to die off?

Bugs? You sure you don't have fungus gnats or root aphids. It doesn't look like n deficiency to me. It looks like a pH problem or something in the water. Does you water district use chlorine or chloramine? Idk. Something is off and I don't think k it is nitrogen. I may be wrong.

That is not a pH problem. Not trying to argue, just want to be clear that I'm confident he has already diagnosed his own problem correctly.
He is correct. It IS a Nitrogen deficiency.
Classic symptoms.
If it was pH, more than nitrogen would be locked out.

Once you topdress and then water normally when it needs it , you will see improvement. You can stop a N deficiency and reverse SOME of the color loss, in time, all of it.

No. Your ok. You can easily add some microbes. With a products like GreatWhite or OGBiowar, or make a tea with worm castings, ph it, then water it in on top of topdressed soil.

Are you in flower?
If not , you can transplant into larger pot of fresh soil too.

I just saw the answer! You've been vegging for two months! That's too long of a veg for a standard super soil my friend. It's still a N deficiency, but now you know why. Your soil is depleted big time.

He doesn't use chemical nutes. His veg time too long. He has no signs of ph issues.

Me to. I mean tap water has all kinds of nasty stuff in it. I also grow organic and grow my own food.

Top dressing and and giving n won't hurt.

I'm just saying something else is off. I can't quit put my finger on it. I doubted it was pH. Soil buffers and should be alright with the addition of lime.

Also peat gets acidic with age. Top dress and continue. Take a serious look at your water. Test the ppms. Pull a water report and see what they use in it.

I did add extra cups of fish bone meal. isn't that long term P? you think that could have did it?

Im not gonna tell you thats the problem, but yes it can cause secondary and trace deficiencies, I've done it before as bone meal is strong shit.

You will see that you simply have a N deficiency. No other problems. I have explained to you exactly why in my earlier post. If you overthink it while listening to other people make vague guesses you risk being pointed on the wrong direction.

The plant will need it. It's not overkill. Maybe 2-3 inches of soil, at least.
Can you transplant into bigger pot? If so, just transplant now. If not, topdress. Use the soil you have, it's going to work good.
