There's No Correlation Between Gun Ownership, Mass Shootings, & Murder Rates

it's not the gun owner..it's the access..want to keep your gun? great..just like a driver's license..you need to be tested and regulated with SMART weapons so they are owner compatible only..guns are for sport, home defense strategies..no one needs to go to fucking target packing. it's been proven that 'innocent armed individuals' are a danger to themselves and society as a whole. just ask tray tray.

who keeps their car unlocked with key in the ignition? anyone?

more preschoolers are now killed by guns in america annually than cops while on duty.

pretty sobering statistic.

always wondered whether my husband would come home every time he went to work..never had to think about my kids.
Wait a minute. Since the murder rate of preschoolers with guns is not terribly high, perhaps being a cop isn't as dangerous as they make it out to be. So maybe they need to at least stop using the weapon first and think later, and like police in many first world, developed nations, perhaps they don't all need firearms. I think the nature of SWAT teams is very questionable; its use is too often a case of 'have the force, so let's use it' mentality.

We've managed to prove that if we militarize our police then our outlaws will also do so. Does this make us any safer?

OF COURSE THEY ARE. Where do you think so many of them come from? They bring their tactics and their mentality with them... and our government has been providing them with rather familiar looking hardware. It isn't paranoia of we can point to instances where it's being misused routinely- That's the real story of Ferguson, MO.

Time for the paradigm of militarized police to change into a peace force, not a heavily armed urban warfare force.

there are opportunity and easy targets all over the world, but only we have gun massacres every week or month.

So all those gun violent people in Mexico, gun toting kidnappers in Somalia, school attacking Boko Haram attacks on unarmed citizens/students, don`t qualify ? Been going on for quite some time now, when will they matter as gun violence against the unarmed ? and Helpless.

I have read that cops are more likely to smack their wives around. Is this why he is your ex? Or did you just decide you hate cops and prefer growing weed?
i've always smoked weed except for my married years starting at age 15.

my boyfriend turned me on for the first time..i was working over the summer at a local amusement park.

'adventureland' was my story..i'm the kristen stewart character..

more cops get killed roadside from being hit than shot imo.

that's why florida has that 'move lane over' law for motorists..had to be made law.

people are too stupid to figure it out..hear that righties?..that's how laws (that aren't purchased) get made.

stupidity.

In the same token, that gun give those people the opportunity to do what they otherwise could not, such as rob a group of three for example.
The other side of that coin is people carrying a gun are less likely to be robbed.

Selling guns at shows to just anybody that claims them stolen only to sell them on the streets is a common occurrence that needs to be controlled,...
total fallacy.

it's a proven fact that those who carry and successful at determent are off-duty cops.

they train, train, train and have to re-qualify every quarter or so.

i don't care how many times you've been to the range..it's not the same.

my husband used to call you couch cowboys 'volunteer victims'.

when was the last gun massacre in australia?
When was the last knife massacre in China or jail house shanking.. you don't need a gun to kill people.. just make it easier and less intimate... It's the user of the tool. Not the tool itself.. speaking of tools how u been buck
