I am buying 6 gavitas. I want to know if the stock gavita reflector will cover a 4x5 area. or if it would be better to buy the agrotech magnum hood. and if i bought that hood do I have to buy a ballast that hangs on the wall? also I allready have centrall air in my house. so I was going to use central air and a 12,000 btu mini split in each room as well would that be enough

Which Gavita models are you buying and how many btu's of your central air is pumping into the growroom? I can tell you rite now Gavita knows reflectors. Smaller the better contrary to popular belief (big hoods biggest hustle in the industry).

so for gavitas you say that the smaller hood that they have will cover how big of an area effectivly
5'x5'
Look at the thread above this one. I show one of phantoms hoods that is perfect for a 4'x6' area. And can easily be mounted remotely from ballast;-)

I was going to get the gavita pro 1000. and I think my central air is like 3 ton. I was going to shut all the vents except the ones in the two rooms. and have the 12,000 btu ac blowing as well

Bright as hell and will cover 6x6 easy...but hot as hell and you need 3 tons of a/c for 6 lights

ohh i get it. lol had to look at the pic for a second
This is phantoms other hood. Shown with ballast attached. I have a few of these also.
5'x5', just like gavitas.

Some people rock 1000w single ends over a 5x5 area, maybe those same people rock gavitas over a 6'x6' area? I guess? Everyone I know is doing 5x5 with the gavita type hoods. And again, I'm killing it at 4'x6' with the other type hood:-)

price spread on 18k-24k is small...so hook up the 24k to be safe.

You will need a vacuum pump and 410a gauge set...about 250.00
but the thing is I have hella ac pumping thru my central heat and air. I can get the room down to like 58 degrees if i shut all my vents
