First Grow need help

Hello fellow growers.
This is my first grow, and i'm quite skeptical about my plant.

Specs:
- one self made grow box out of wood quite tiny and stealthy
- 4x 23 watt CFL 3x2700k and 1x6500k
- 1xcarbon filter home made with exhaust fan
- 1x intake fan in the back.

I'm growing Auto flower Northenlights Feminized (victory seeds)

Since its been a little over 25 days since it sprouted, and i'm curios if it;s supposed to be this way. It does look tiny ( that's the point since im trying to do a microgrow ). But so far i see no sings of sex or anything.

So i'm wondering if my plant looks healthy enough to eventually flower.

Looks good, and sounds like you have the basics worked out... getting a grow under your belt is a good thing and over time they get better and better. Only thing I could think of, is add a bit more light. Maybe one or two more of the 6500k for veg then swap it out for 2700k for flower.

Have you thought about topping it to get a little more out of it?

The site has some really great info, just takes time to read through it all. There are also some pretty knowledgeable growers here to help.

Keep up the good work and let us know how things work out! :bigjoint:

Thanks for the attention.
Ill go straight to the point. I am a med student and doing a case study on this plant for reasons :)).. also why not bask in the results.
I understand that more lights would be better, but when i designed the box, i only fixed 4 lights and the tiny outputs from the fans. Everything was calculated to a single chord which gets plugged in. Then everything got screwed in place and sealed. Everything home made using my own logic.

The box door gets sealed shut with screws, it just looks like a wooden box plain and simple with nothing interesting

Also i cant add any more lights because as a student, especially med, i'm wasting money and things which are slightly more expensive, and seeing how im running a tight budget.. well you get the drift.

For scientific purposes im not using any nutriments or special bud soil or w.e, i just bought a bag of soil form the flower store.
The reason i'm not using anything else, is because i don't want the plant to get affected by 3rd party factors in order to grow (aside for the light that runs 24/7)
So far i can;t see any sex signs of the plants, and that worries me a bit as it was stressed bit due to heat problems. (didn't have proper airflow)

Now Topping the plant seems a good idea.. but its an auto plant, as i read a little before i bought the seeds, topping might stress the plant a little further than i'd like, and might result in an exponential decrease in yield, taking in consideration that its a micro grow.

THE SEX OF IT keeps me up at night. Starting over means chance to fail. And that might be a huge pain the rectum. :)))))
i can see anything signs of it, male/female. i don't know what to think.

Also the light looks dim because of the camera (you know automatic adjustments to brightness) it is quite bright with the naked eye.

If more pictures of the plant are required to somehow find out the sex, i can provide them,

I'm going to say its a female since you did say you bought feminized. So there is no reason to be worrying about what sex it is. Ya it could be a male it happens but not very often

I decided to germinate 2 more seeds just in case, placed them today in a rectangular pot next to the main plant, and probably engage in some sort of LST once they decide to sprout. Not looking for quantity, mainly for some sort of potency to run my experiments. :D
Thanks for the replays ya'll, i shall keep you posted :)

Itll sex itself in time ;) you have a nice plant so far but you should go get some bigger cfls. Two at least. I think they make 42s? Or bigger. Get a couple because those little 23s wont yield much. Trust me.

I do understand the light problem, but see, i am running on a budget, and i am planning on doing a micro grow. Quantity isn't at the moment so important.
This is my power plant :

(23W*4)=92 W of power '
92/1000=0.092 (kilowatts per hour)
Now since im running it 24/7 (because i have not taken in consideration a timer when the design was on paper) i did it all from my own logic
1 month = 730H
so

0.092KW * 730H = 67 KW ( that is around 20 euros a month, from where i live)

And thats not much, but when you have a equipment that needs to run. aside from super computer and the normal utilities.
And all that on a budget of 200 Euros hahahahha. Im on a really thin line hahah. again im a student, need to be efficient :D

........well yur gonna waste your time if you dont have enough light. Unscrew four other lights in your house if you have to. Watts = weight. Youll pull seven grams off those lights if your lucky. ;)

As long as i get something i'm happy, i need it to run experiments, so its not a time waste :D
I designed the lights platform to be moved up and down. Its all stuck together lights, electronics.

I moved it down to the extent that any closer might burn the plant, even though they are CFL they do have an substantial amount of heat coming off them.

If you put a fan at the bottom and two fans at the top of the box blowing out youll circulate the heat better. Micro grows are notorious heat generators.

You;re cool, i like you :D :D

UUU tell me about it, the wood on which i have the light fixture has home made heat conduits under the aluminum, and bent on an angle, this throws the air onto the exhaust which houses the carbon filter.
The other creates air flow, that goes thru the plants, bounces off the front wall door, and up in the CFLs which go the the heatsink and soo on . :D

Ya, pretty much. Heat out the top and cool in the bottom. Idk what the hvac situation is at your place but some guys if theyre not paying for heat or a/c keep their places colder, some guys leave a window open, some guys put ice in a tray in the grow every morning.

Winter Is coming

Well the room temp is around lets say 24-26 C (75.5 - 78.8 F ) the intake fan faces the wall, and that pulls in cooler air. This keeps my box at around 26 - 32 C (78.8 - 89 F) And i am quite comfortable with that, sometimes i do crack the door open just to let some hot air out, buts thats pretty much it. I did some research and the plants looks pretty good (taking in consideration i use no nutriments)
