2014 was definitely the hottest year on record

Currently, we are in a warm interglacial that began about 11,000 years ago. The last period of glaciation, which is often informally called the “Ice Age,” peaked about 20,000 years ago. At that time, the world was on average probably about 10°F (5°C) colder than today, and locally as much as 40°F (22°C) colder.

The warming period started 11,000 years ago... How much weather data do we have again? Like less than 200 years right? Cause SCIENCE!!!
How do you explain the rate at which the climate has increased from 1880 to 2015? .7°C in 135 years. This is the key part: it is impossible for global temperatures to increase that fast naturally.

There is no other time in the history of the Earth where temperatures have increased at that rate, and you have no explanation for it.

Have you examined a chart showing the ice ages? The starts and ends are damn near vertical... Check it out, we are talking tens of degrees, not tenths of a degree... Thanks for playing!

Obama is involved with artificially raising energy prices to cause renewable energy to be more competitive.

He is in a video stating that very thing. That fossil fuel prices must be driven up to make other energy sources more competitive.

He couldnt do it through congress so now he has done it through the EPA. It is devastating coal mining, coal power generation and the effects are higher energy prices across America... THANKS OBAMA!!!
Is he now? According to MuyLoco, our government hasn't been able to get anything done in regards to climate change legislation.

Can you cite any documentation verifying your claims?

Meanwhile..

"The United States federal and state
governments gave away $21.6 billion in
production and exploration subsidies to
the oil, gas, and coal industries in 2013.
"

"At the federal level only, largely due
to increased oil and gas, production,
fossil fuel production and exploration
subsidies have grown in value by 45
percent since President Obama took
office in 2009
from $12.7 billion to a
current total of $18.5 billion."

Here is a link to that conservative bastion the BBC...

http://www.bbc.com/earth/story/20150112-did-snowball-earth-make-animals

Snowball earth was 715 million years ago and lasted 120 million years. The entire globe was frozen or nearly frozen FOR OVER 100 MILLION YEARS!!! The documentary that I watched mentioned that the earth returned to a more normal state over the course of a couple hundred years.

That directly contradicts your statement that .7 degrees over what, 30 years is a big change...

Scientists do science. Then people with agendas take the data and manipulate it to say what they want it to say. And if it brings in more money for science well.... SCIENCE!!

Show me a chart or data set that has the average increase in temperature at a rate as fast or faster than the current warming trend

You can't because it doesn't exist. It takes thousands of years for the temperature to change this dramatically, not hundreds. Therein lies the fatal flaw in your denial argument, you can't account for the rate of change.

Are you trying to blame that on me?

Why are you not mad at Obama?

And why the fuck is MuyLoco suddenly an expert on something? Oh yeah, because his opinion supports yours in this case.... LOL!!

Go ahead and show us how much .7 is on the graph... Kthxbye!!

You said the Obama administration is artificially increasing the price of energy to cause renewable energy to be more competitive. I showed you they're in fact subsidizing the fossil fuel industry at $20 billion a year, and demolished your false claim in the process.

.7°C in 135 years is unprecedented. The way you cite it as if it's an insignificant amount of increase shows how little you understand about global temperature.

The graph shows that it is possible. The spikes on the graph are evidence that the earth does not undergo gradual heating and/or cooling all the time.

This is why it is pointless to cite things to you guys. You cant see the truth right in front of your eyes even when someone takes the time to put it there....

I show you a graph showing the unpredictable and radical changes that temperature has had during the earths past and you accuse me of not understanding global temperature.

I didnt make the graph, science did.... How do you sleep at night with all the contradictions??

If we only have 200 years of data, then where did you dig up these fancy charts that go back 400K years?
Your sacred ice cores show temperature changes larger than your unprecedented .7 degrees in 3 decades. Why do you deny science? How do you sleep at night?

You cited a graph on a scale of hundreds of thousands of years. I told you the natural warming/cooling cycles of the Earth take thousands of years, minimum. Show me anything, a graph or a data set, that shows the natural warming/cooling cycle of the Earth can take place in less time than that. Over the course of the past 135 years, the Earth has warmed as much as in the last 800K years. So what it took the Earth to do all by itself in 800,000 years, we did to it in less than 200. What natural geological process could increase the rate of warming by thousands of percent?
