What a difference a week makes

It's not oregano

Quick details
Strain is Bulldog seeds Northern Lights (feminized photo).
Growing in B&Q verve compost with roughly 20% perlite.
Watered with plain tap water which is left to breathe, watered when needed using finger/knuckle and also lifting pot test. Roughly 5 days in this pot, but only been in it a week. No nutes yet.
Stealth cabinet soil grow using 4x 23w 6500k CFL's at the moment. More CFL's can be added later. Can't really use anything else as growing in a small chest of drawers (28" w x 15"d x 32" h) for the full grow and I have very little height to use, hence the LST.
Temps around 26-27C day and min of 19 at night (I have a small heater on a STC 1000 thermostat) and humidity of around 60%
Now on day 21since breaking surface.

I posted last week with pics of my plant as I thought it was too short, and also asked about potting on. I got some helpful advice and was told everything looked ok, which really put my mind at rest - thanks to all concerned.
Next day I saw roots coming through the base of the container so I put her into a 5 litre pot and also fimmed her at the 5th node. I figured it was daft stressing her twice and decided both at once was better. I might be totally wrong, but it is my first ever grow and you learn through your mistakes.
I gave it a day and started to lightly LST her side branches, as the main stalk was too small to bend usefully in my opinion (she was only 15 days from breaking the surface and was only about 2" tall but 4" wide with REALLY close nodes). Pics 1& 2 show the fim site and also her 4th node branches just starting LST.
Holy crap! One week later and I have had to lst her more, as new growth is shooting out left right and centre. She is still only about 3" tall due to the LST, but she is 8" wide and changing every day. You can see on the later pics how the fim site has regrown, and all the new sprouts coming from the lower branches that were opened up due to the LST.
I have just noticed that there is a wire between the y of a node on the last pic (about 9 o'clock, on the pic) so I will move that when it is lights on. Also, I had literally just finished LST when I took the pics last night, so some leaves look to be facing sideways etc, but they will be facing upwards again when I get home today.

Any opinions good or bad are always welcome, my first ever grow so I need to learn if I am going majorly wrong somewhere. photo 2.JPG photo 3.JPG day 21 photo 1 .JPG day 21 photo 2 .JPG day 21 photo 3 .JPG day 21 photo 4 .JPG

I appreciate your advice. Can I ask why you say that please? In other words, what exactly are you seeing on the pics that I, as a novice, can learn from.
She only got swapped from a 3" seedling pot last week into a 5 litre pot, would all the new compost not be enough new nutes for a weeks growth?

Yeah Harley, what do you see? I'm curious too. Not that I disagree, just curious what the "tell" is. Also, Its not oregano but it sure looks like a bowl of salad in that last pic!! :p

Just a thought, but the dull brown leaves on the right of the last pic are not that colour in real life, it is due to a dodgy lighting/crap photographer combo.

He might be seeing some interveinal yellowing too as I look closer. But now that you've indicated the photos kinda suck it might be that too.

at risk of yet again repeating myself look to this for guidance on lights,

I should have explained myself better..! u should gugle this for further info

blue light or cool white at about 6500K (kelvin) or the led or metal halide equivalent,

grows or encourages growth thats squat and short with very short shitty stems like a cabbage

many noobs here have this issue, in the biz its politely termed as 'short internodes'

the opposite where one grows out a vegging plant with an hps or light in the 2700 kelvin, sold as warm white or variations

does the opposite and creates a very stretched plant, in th biz it called 'stretched to fuck' where the gap between each leaf or internode

are very far apart indeed,

the deal is to have a balance of different light colors or temps so the plant grows out with internodes that at maturity are

roughly equally apart, with consideration to the plants height and girth

come budding time just go 100% warm white or 2700k

read a wiki on kelvin oe color temperature is a good idea, you will only have to do it once

good luck 'v'

its best to go from a 4 inch tiny pot to a 3 us gallon or 15liter pot, avoid transplan
t shock etc

Oregano has the wife been shown her support yet? Ha they look fookin sweet man just like you say next week it'll be bigger, stronger an fuller just go easy on her, let her lead you and when she wants feeding you will see some definite signs but I'd go get some some plant start if you want something beneficial for the soil without risking any nute burn and what you gonna feed her brother when the time comes? I love canna its just the best imo, the verve compost might be a bit weaker than a general MJ soil but alls well from my point of view, crack on chap!

:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

I think you need to look at a wardrobe grow Oreganopal because she ain't gonna be small for long chap! She will be what 8 inch high in a week, sexually mature a week or so later? Then she flowers, she shoots up and fuck me the cupboard is full I guarantee! BDNL don't stink but it will be a very recognisable hashy weed smell and one phenotype I grew was just like yours and it grew like jacks fickin beanstalk!

A quick update. I lowered her from the lights by about an inch and she is now starting to spread out horizontally much better, but still keeping the compact noding she has. At least now she is not a central mass of 'salad looking'™-(orbo) curly leaves unable to get space to open fully. There is still a lot of new growth going on in the centre, hidden from view a bit in this pic, but there is now a bit more room for it all. Hopefully this is a better lit picture than before - all the leaves look a uniform healthy green in real life. Taken just after watering last night.
DAY 25 - DAY 12 OF VEG.JPG

Cl@rksville - my wife is still nervous as hell. She knows I am doing it so she can get a bit of pain relief from her MS, and I am not planning to flood the north of england with weed (1 plant in a small chest of drawers under CFL's, yeah, I will soon be making the crime syndicates quake in their boots!). A police helicopter was hovering over our house the other day after a football match, and I thought she was going to have a heart attack!
As for nutes, I am hoping that I might get away with not needing them during veg, as I still have to transplant into the final pot, and I was going to go to the local grow shop and get either a bottle of canna or biobizz for when I needed it during flower. See what they recommend for my setup, seeing as they are both similarly priced according to their website. I also plan on adding unsulphured molasses as it seems to always get good reviews.

All looking good you northern cartel you... ;)

Molasses and the juice from soaked worm castings are the best natural liquid additives for soil anywhere in the world in my opinion! The soil will take on a whole new profile within a week, I'd be feeding it now at around 20ml per gallon rising to 40ml per gallon during back end of flower whilst backing off on the fertiliser towards harvest. I love molasses and have used it forever but since I started hydro I just use Veg Glycerine as it doesn't brown my roots but still works as a carb source.
