Well I chopped them down last weekend. Sorry for the lack of details the last few weeks, been busy with summer living in sunny Ole Oregon, America's new California. Two of the three girls had some minor mold issues from being so fat and dense and a not enough upper air flow, The blueberry short pheno had no apparent issue because its buds are a little fluffier, still dense but not rock hard like lime soda and ob smooth phenos.
I didn't get picture of ob smooth's final buds because I noticed the tell tale signs of mold and chopped in a hurry, but I'll get some dry bud shots. When trimming it had a orange or tangerine overtone to it with some tangy fruity smell going too. I had a few buds from a branch I chopped at like week 6.5 because it broke off, and that bud got me stoned as phuck. It was out of nowhere, just hitting a bubbler a few good rips and next thing I know I'm like old JCVD in my avatar, "I'm Stoned." So, good and potent. Ob smooth did yield out nicely but extra care to avoid mold is a must because I had a dehum. running at 40% RH and my tent never got over 49% so I thought I could skate the little fan for the canopy without mold, I was wrong. You gonna need all the fan you can get. I would have put more fan on but ob smooth(pheno B) had like 6-8 dicks on her at the week 7 mark so I didn't want to spray the bb short (pheno C) which needed more flowering time.
Ok, enough about ob smooth, here is blueberry short(pheno C) and yes a play on dj short because the blueberry smell is from his work so seemed appropriate.
She yielded out nicely, a little fluffy but there is a lot of dense bud and weight. She has a wonderfully sweet berry smell. My friends that smelled it growing all were really impressed typical response was "WOW." She has good resin so hopefully she shares the flavor with the smell. She needed another 1-2 weeks to finish up but I just wanted to cut it all down and deal with the mold issues and focus on the clones. This and my tightbud keeper from the buddha's dream will make future rounds but ob smooth and lime soda will have to prove themselves this next run or it's adios.
Here is lime soda(pheno D) named her lime soda because she had a very similar smell to my bertha pheno of buddhas dream and that has a nice generic lime soda flavor. But while I was cut this plant up I got a new smell coming from it that reminds me of my old pheno of pure power plant from nirvana that I loved. It was a mix of baby poo and honeycombs cereal smell mixed with that limeish citrus twist. This plant has the tightest buds, rock hard. I had the small little fan blowing directly at her w/ dehum running and she still had a tiny patch of mold trying to start. I'll post pics of dried bud and give a good detailed smoke report.
