Are they already in flower or just pre-flowering

Hey guys, i have always had problems spotting when a plant is already in flower or it is preflowering. All of them are 26 days old (since i put the seed in ground) and all of them are AUTOS. What do you say, is it still in preflowering or its already in flower?

They are being held under 600W HPS 24/0.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

PS: Some of them have a minor nutrient burn as i like to give them quite a bit and starting from seedling. That's how i roll with autos so they grow as good as they can in veg state, i take more care in flower phase.

I use the pack from AN (Micro,Grow,Bloom) its the same for veg and flowering except i add a little less micro and a bit more bloom in the flower i also throw in Budexcell from France H since first day of life and in flowering week 2-4 i give them big bud.
Week 5-7-8 i give them PK Fury from France H
Week 8-10 (last 2 weeks before harvest) Ripen

And oh yes, most of you will not agree on this one but i do not flush anymore, after some tests i've concluded that the taste and the yield is a LOT better/higher if i just help the plant with nutes in those last weeks when they need it most. Also where do you think all the nutes go the plant absorbs? Yes that's right they go in the buds, so my own choice is not to flush anymore.

But are they in flower yet or just in the flowering phase? I need to pinpoint the date so i know when to start feeding them big bud from AN.....

I am also having a problem with the air circulation in the grow room, i guess i need to add another vent or something, you can notice some of the leaves trying to turn upside down.

Personally, I do not grow under 24/0 ...20/4 is the most I would give for the first few weeks then 18/6 for flower with Autos...just my humble opinion...I'm old school though and believe plants need some rest...many will disagree.

If you use a 11 on 13 off light schedule for flowering your plants along with you will appreciate it come time to finally taste your harvest.

Doing this brings out special characteristics not normally seen with 12/12. DJ Short uses the 11/13 Which is where I got the info from originally. It resembles a more tropical climate for the plant thus bringing out more dankness

That is what i have used to do but then i learnt that regardless of the light i give them, they will take the rest they need even if its not dark.

Sadly i cannot switch to 12/12 for the next 2 or 3 weeks because i have an Auto Afghan Mass under the same light that is only 8 days old, so until it show's sex and enter pre-flowering i can't switch it :-S.

Maybe i can help them a bit using a 18/6 or 15/9 schedule but if i'd go 12/12 the little one won't like it :-S....

Yeah true, I didn't consider that & I know DJ wasn't doing his experiments on Autos lol. That being said, DJ advertises that the 1 less hour of light will only save you money on electricity & increase flavor profile.

He noted that the yield was not effected in any way compared to 12/12...with reg photoperiod seeds.

It would be a toss up experiment with the Autos to be honest

And as for the original question, I'm under the knowledge that it's either seedling, veg, or flowering. Just because it's extremely early in the process & doesn't show developed calyx just means it's early in the flowering stage.

I just read something about this exact topic from Jorge Cervantes website and the term pre-flower confused him.

When the girl is at her very first stages of flowering, it still needs bloom nutes, just not as heavy as they will need 4 weeks into their flowering.

Hope this helps!
