I'm a week into flower on my first grow. 4 girls going, GSC, Green Crack, Jack Herer, and Blue Dream. I ended up veging to long and now need more vertical space, different story I suppose. I have a bower fan cooling my light, I have to run it at 600w to keep Temps below 90+ it stays about 82. I need a bigger fan.

Here comes the question. Can I run one inline to carbon scrub and cool my light?
The fan and scrubber I want is about $350. If I had to get 2 fans to cool and deodorize I would end up having to get some cheap no name brand fans. I'd rather get one good one if I could. But it seems every grow room build has separate fans.

Depends on size of room but one should do it. Calculate your CFM (google cfm calculator) and that'll tell you whar CFM rated fan you need. Buy a filter made for the CFM rated fan you need and you're good.

Awesome, thanks, the fan should move 350cfm (not sure of the actual rated number, but was mid 300s) with the filter on it, free flow is 440cfm, the room is 320.

Im curious what gsc yr growing. I have seeds i'm waiting to grow next cycle from bc bud depot, that ive read alot of negative comments about, and a few good ones. Most of the negative ones were regarding the girl scout cookies not being REAL gsc's. That and a few hermie issues...but i am gonna try it because i could care less if its real or not, its crossed with some just amazing genetics, so i want to form my own opinion. Let me know what breeder you picked, & how yrs turns out. i'm interested to hear back.

I heard it is prone to hermie, that said, it is the most potent smell of all of them. Even this early in flower.

If anyone will hermie her it's me, her whole life has been stressful. (First grow, still learning)

Sure, lots of people only have one fan. Two is nice but not necessary.

Those suckered are pricy, I'm leaning towards getting an 8 inch and necking it down to 6. The 8 inch has more flow on low than the 6 on high, for close to the same price

That should work. I've got a 6" tube dropped down to 4 right after the light & before the fan. No problems.

Why is it so hard to get real gsc seeds? I don't understand when people say "clone only" strains..Don't you just get a clone and then turn it hermie?

Ya ones fine man. If the temps are high youll need to find an a/c unit. Sucking air out wont cool the room. Sucking some cool air into the bottom of the room, say from outside, would help. Also running lights at night vs. the day when its warm will also help keep er cooler.

Sing off key and poke it with a stick every now and then

You can let it flower for very very long time, or you just spray a branch with colloidal silver. This bran ch will then produce pollen sacks then you pollinate another plant of the same strain. So if you had two clones you could have 100's of seeds.

I thought coliodal silver just made seeds, not sacs.

good question. Especially a strain that is so sought after, you'd think one of these good breeders would figure iit out.

I'm not hugely concerned about yeild. Sure, it would be nice, but it is pretty close to the bottom of the list of wants. Right now I am hoping they make it to the end of flower. Pretty happy how they are coming along though. I can tell they are going to all to end at different times. Some are moving faster than others.

I'm pretty sure I need more cfm through the hood, it dips into the mid 60s at night in the room as is.

The fan I have is pretty rigged, I thought it would work better than it did. It was one of the ones in the pic... that is ok, upgrades are fun

was it at least good looking bud tho? I'm growing ghost train haze#1 atm, and it seems like it'll be a heavy yeilder and the quality is there too!! getting just SOOooo frosty at week 5, cant wait to see her finish!
