Hello I just switched my plants into 12/12 cycle they're indicas & I need the best possible results because I intend to use this as medicinal marijuana for my fibromyalgia & I want to know ahead of time what I should look for when the buds are ready to harvest? Also should I trim before I dry the buds or after? What can I do with the trimming? Best drying method(s)? Best curing method(s)? How do I harvest the plant when it's ready? How long should I dry & cure for to get the best results?

Lots of questions, ill take a stab.
1. Look for hairs to turn from white to orange, then swolen calyxs, and hairs receeded into calyx, check trichs with 30x jewlers lupe. Clear is not ready, milky is almost ready, milky with some amber is ready for harvest.
2. You can trim before drying, but it is much easier to trim after a proper drying. You can remove all the fan leaves before drying (its easy/quicker to do this by hand w/out scissors)
3.Trimmings can be frozen, dried, composted. I ussually just put them in a paper bag to dry for later hash making or edibles.
4. Hang entire plant upside down in the dark for 3-7 days (really depends on humidity)
5. I dont know the best method as I have only ever cured in jars using a hygrometer.
6. When its ready to harvest, if in soil cut plant stem at base near soil, hang in drying room.
7.Drying takes 3-7 days. Curing, i am told can last as long as 6 months to a year. IME, it takes about a month in jars @ 55-65% humidity until its not going to get much better.
