How old are you?

Ask your grandma or people in their 90's ... They have never seen snow like that.

When they were younger, there was way more wilderness and less hassle from deep snow. It was never something to remember so..........There was one year without summer, Snowed in August, Imagine that happened today ??

A lull in the patterns means just like you said.

California and Texas are in a zone that is geologically coming out of a long desert period, No droughts in Cali and Texas,...look at the region from space,...clearly old Desert.

There should be plenty of ground water in those area`s and top soil,....but for 700 of the last 6 million years, it`s been changing for the better. Grandma don`t go that far back dude............

How is it humanly possible to be this ignorant?

"No drought in California", STFU Oddball, as usual, you don't know what the fuck you're babbling about

Dude, I hate to point this out, no, for you, I like to point this out,....You interpreted the post wrong, that`s a lot of water still left for a desert region,...There shouldn`t be any. But there is, However little means it`s coming out of a desert region. It`ll fluctuate.

Sand is still suface in most area`s, that`ll change for the better in about 10,000 more years or so. Then you`ll have top soil.

A drought in Cali is normal,..in geological terms. Deserts got that way from it.

That's the Mojave Desert..

That's the drought, exactly where the Mojave Desert isn't

Stop being an ignorant old bastard just because you don't believe in climate change. This is happening, and it's been a serious problem facing California since 2009. I've lived here my entire life, like I said before, you have no fuckin' idea what you're talking about.

In the 1970's, these same people were babbling about (man-made) global COOLING, then in the 1980's it was (man-made) ozone holes, then in the 1990's, it was (man-made) global warming... and now they've switched to "climate change". I guess ALL weather is now some sort of man made phenomena in their eyes. This is their religion of choice, and no matter how much data, logic, facts or reason you try to interject into the conversation, they will not hear or comprehend it.

Keep dem models coming.... ;)

Where are the conservative models of the climate that tell us humans have no effect on it?

Why don't you provide your best conservative model of the climate, I'll produce the most up to date model of the climate according to the IPCC, and we'll compare and see which one is more correct

Why is it acceptable in your eyes to believe it is man made when data has only been collected for a little over a hundred years on a planet that is billions of years old. What would we call that in statistics? I reserve the right, and common sense, to refrain from correlating man as the cause of climate change until more reliable data, that samples a longer period than 100 years.

Because we have measurements well beyond that. Into the hundreds of thousands of years. We have direct measurements of temperature through verifiable means dating back to the 1880's. That's through direct measurements.

That is not enough data on a planet that is billions of years old to conclude it is man made. Explain this to me, why have we had numerous fluctuations in temperature? How many ice ages have we had? How many times have the glaciers receded and then cede again? What caused this phenomenon? We are in a time when the Earth is warming. The temperatures fluctuate on this planet, always has and always will. Man made climate change, is just another power grab by our government.

That`s 2013 dude, that zone was a skeleton coast for quite some time up to San Fran. The ground surface tells you that. The desert was on both sides of the mountains. Go back and look at the data taken 6 million years ago. I`ll bet you hit sand with one bite from a spade. In Northern Cali you find trees 150 ft. tall,...no such thing from San Fran. down cuz it was all desert.

Droughts are common in desert zones.

There used to be so much water in Cali, they invented a way to send it over to Lake Mead and help out the dam.

So what did they "give" to you in your scenario ? It seems like all that happens there is they simply take less from you.

Where's the beef Wendy?
who did they take from in order to discount my taxes then?

name who or go away, loser.
