Hi so this will be my first attempt at growing my own and had a few questions. First I'll start with the mother tent.

1. Is it ok two have two or three different strains in a mother tent as long as their in soil? I already ordered a couple strains and the seed bank threw in a few extra.

2. What size of a tent is needed just to grow mothers. Once again 2 or 3 plants (strains)?

3. Which lighting is recommend LED lighting watts?

Also my final growing will be done in a Gorilla 5 x 5 with LED (leaning towards kind k5 1000) and a hydroponics system.

1. Yes, no problem. They can be in anything you want but soil or soiless is better than hydro.

2. Your mother tent can be small. But if you have your flower room sealed from light the mothers can be kept without a tent. Most good grows dont happen in tents. Tents usually end up getting sold when people actually start growing in whole rooms.

3. Mothers dont need thousand dollar leds. Cheap floro tube setups will work fine and save you some money.

When you say soil or soilless is better atr you saying for mother tent or the actual grow tent. Also what it soilless lol. Is that like coco?
Yes, soiless is a grow medium like coco fiber, or peat moss. It contains no nutrients. Soil has nutrients. Soiless "soil" has none. You need to supply everything the plant needs to survive. And yes, the mother tent. Your question was about mothers. In the grow tent giver guns hydro if you want. Bigger yields and faster growing trumps soil, or soiless any day....but theres more risk in failing. I run soiless cause its safer and more productive than real soil.
