Hi all, Im using canna A/B and canna coco.

my babies have been in early flower about 4weeks, just over the stretching period. My nugs are not as developed as I hoped and I'm thinking of changing my bloom add.

At mo im using headmaster superior potash 0 - 14 - 22.
I also have grotex monster bloom 0 - 50 - 30

I get confused as I have read that the ratio is what to pay attention to not so much the actual figures.

Hmmmmm.... all opinions and preferences are welcome, thank you guys

The ratio is more important to the plant, but the actual figures are more important to your wallet. (you can dilute with water or use less).

Btw, Monster bloom is just mono-potassium phosphate. It's really obvious by the NPK rating.

Also, I wouldn't use "bloom bosters". I use mono-potassium phosphate as an ingredient to my mixes for providing base levels of P, but if you already have enough P, you shouldn't need to add more.

Thanks for you'r feedback, I'm not sure what mono potassium phosphate means Im guessing its exclusively or mainly p and k?
What I really meant to ask though was, which of the two should I use? 0 - 30 - 50 or the 0 - 14 - 22?
But thanks anyway, I'll go easy on the K, just looking for advie on which would maximise the bud growth most. J

Monopotassium phosphate is a chemical. (KH2PO4)

The 0-30-50 product is that chemical relabeled and marked up 4-5x.

To make the 0-14-22 product, you could just mix monopotassium phosphate with potassium hydroxide (pH up) to raise the K.

If you want to maximize bud growth, give the plants what it wants instead of trying to increase P to astronomically high levels.
Ok, thats the one mate. just feed it healthy, I'll stick to what I'm doing, theyr looking strong and healthy, maybe flowers grow big towards the end, there is plenty of flower growth and they are elongating. I wont mess about now at this stage. Thanks for you'r advice. just keep them healthy and let them be happy. Cheers j

An important thing to understand here is that if your plants are already getting what they need from the soil, neither one will do anything to maximize bud growth. They do both offer the potential for you to get yourself into "hot water" though. :leaf:
