What in the heck is happening to my leaves?!?

This started as just a little bit of discoloration, and an occasional hole or two. But myself and A long time growing mentor of mine are completely stumped as to what this might be. I dont think its bugs, i've searched through the dirt with a microscope, and i've had a look at the leaves and haven't found any critters so far. Also sprayed azamax preventatively twice, just in case. Is this a deficiency? Someone help me out. starting to affect the leaves a lot more than originally predicted.

Is it mainly on older growth and lower leafs?

It is my opinion only but perhaps water or condensation has accumulated there, was magnified by whatever the light source and got burned? Or if they were chronically wet and there was a fan blowing hard there most of the time there may be some dessication present.

for the most part. yes, those are mid section / lower section leaves

Shouldnt be magnified water. I only spray as soon as i turn off the lights. Also it started light and slowly gotten worse. leading me to believe a deficiency. Looking at a chart I was thinking possibly maganese deficiency, but im not experienced enough to know.

I've noticed that the deficiencie " charts " only seem to help with the most basic problems. I've had lots of issues over the year's that weren't mentioned. Maybe late stage cal mag ? I'm perplexed as well. However, if your soil was /is lacking calcium this could be a problem. Mag is mobile in plants and it does look similar also calcium in the plant is not mobile but it is semi mobile in soil. If your soil is lacking calcium then your plant is also. Unless you are making sure they get enough in their feeding

Charts are kind of general but this website does a pretty good job - http://www.growweedeasy.com/marijuana-symptoms-pictures

I'm using roots organic soil. seems like good stuff so far.

It is fantastic stuff however, I was chatting with my friend over at the grow shop about this "soil" line. He said it's great stuff, fantastic product but you better make sure you use a cal/mag supplement with it because it's lacking in their soils. I use them on and off and haven't noticed any problems but I am using cal mag in all my growing

So listen, I'm putting up this pic just to show you a leaf that has gotten a little crispy from being damp , having bright lights on it and a fan blowing the hell out if it. Might not be your issue as you concluded earlier but it looks similar?

Possible Potassium Deficiency! Too much of one thing can cause a lockout of another. Is it possible this could be an issue with your soil mix?

i suppose anything is possible. but i dont think its likely. this problem started out very lightly when the clones came to me in solo cups in an inert coco mix.

doesnt look quite the same to me. The one leaf thats lost a bunch; possibly. and if so than its just a fluke, but the other picture i posted that looks like rusted holes, that is something else. Perhaps cal/mag. im not sure. im going to hit a couple hydroshops soon and see what those guys have to say.[/QUOTE]

I don't think that you will find any bugs as I do not believe this to be your problem. I still think that it's a cal/ mag /or potassium problem. The leaf charts are a good general starting point maybe, I find them mostly useless. Go to a university site or an agricultural page and look up cal, mag, potassium deficiencies and then decide.

Looks like early calmag deficiency,- but without the yellowing/light green leaves, Best guess is Calcium.
I had calmag issue on 5th week, stunted my plants by two weeks.
or could be a lockout, overfed.

Flush them I would, get good drainage feed em lightly with with cal mag on top. worked for me.. but it remained in the lower leaves for ages, when the plant was healthy even. its a bitch of a problem if like me your not experienced. do something quickly I would,.
good luck

I haven't fed them a drop of anything. they came as clones in inert coco. And they didn't get any nutrients at all until i transplanted about 3-4 weeks ago. I haven't fed them myself, their just living off the roots organic soil. Might be time to add some epsom salt.
