Hey I added a 3,000K red lamp to my grow to help with veg
Who thinks this will be better than full blue bulbs?

Check out the T5 Club thread. Lots of good mixed spectrum details.

But yes, I mix 25% red bulbs during veg. I like giving more spectrum.
And I put my T5s.....2 inches from plant tops. Close. It won't hurt.
Best of luck.
Peace

When I place the light closers than 5-6" she starts to show sings of heat stress.
I think I will let them grow to the light
I keep them about 7-8"

If it does that get the fan to blow between your plant canopy and light. Should stop the cupping if that's what your talking bout... Get that with a cfl when placed close to the lady so I aimed the fan at canopy and all is good now.
Hope it helps

Look at Cassanderas grow
The link is my status.
pending on the strength of a t5 because i have a 100watt t5 and if it is closer than 4 inches it will burn but it also puts out more lumens/watt than my single 39 watt t5 as checked with my light meter but for your veg if looking to dial it in a notch or two more i can suggest a 660-710nm red for veg as this encourages veg hormone (pfr) but will require you to have an led

.I have a rotating fan on them in between the canopy and the lights but they still seem to cup up
I will leave the lights were they stay for now.
But I'm asking is it better to have 1 red and 3 blue as apposed to 4 blue???
