They're about 38 days into flower. The buds are solid as rocks and smell delicious.

I love the last few weeks of flower cause they just get so fat and juicy.

Im also using 1 300w CFL for flower and they're doing just fine and frosting up real nice, might consider adding my other bulb tho to increase frost.

why not spend a little money ($60) and get a mars hydro led panel? much easier to control temp and works great for veg or flower.

plus no hazmat team if you accidentally split a spiral. Thanks energy saving aficionados!

To add to my last post - I am so pissed we can't buy regular 100w bulbs anymore but have to buy these fucking expensive 90w bulbs or 100w equivalent bulbs.

Yep...! total junk, the reflector is a $2.00 plastic office type trash bin, very flimsy, about 12 inches square?

with a pc fan centered to extract any excess heat and remove 02 from the plants(copied from the LED guys)

a 48 hour test did wonders, as I thought the bin would melt..lol and took about half an hour to make,

the challenge was to build a simple grow light, I stress 'simple' until the replacement arrived, this is my version

of the AK47 rifle idea, adapted to ghetto grow light situation, tough simple and reliable, and although I gave the

safety score a measly 3/10 I'm gonna bump that to 7/10, on account I've loaned it out 5-6 times by now and the

guys not busted or even dropped it since, avoid going over 200 watts with cfl's or face falling returns, cheaper to

upgrade to a Mh/HPS

I spent around $100 and six hours rigging a CFL array. I used it for two weeks then bought HPS. I agree, not worth it. Pain in butt to rig them all. OK for some people though.. If a person is conveniently located near a hydro store the 150w SunSystems HPS can be had for around $40 used. Way better option than rigging CFL's. 400 or 600 hps way way better option..

Sunny747, how does the neat of a 150 HPS or MH compare to a 250 cfl? Just curious if a 150 hps is better than the 250cfl or not as far as heat and lumen? I dont have a way to really vent and right now I seem to be able to keep the closet used for flowering and grow area at 76 degrees with just fans and no exhaust. I want to upgrade the light at some point just cant vent in the place I have now, maybe in 2017 when I move.

Guys dont let people on here bring you down there just bored and wanna fuck with people yes cfls work great yes there are other things better but grow with what you can as not everyone has hundreds to thousands of dollars to turn a whole garage or room at that into a grow op as long as you are contributing to society and growing the plant we all love the rest can fuck off unless they truly are trying to help then welcome them. Theres more than one way to go whatever suits you

So very true ..I advocate making stuff outta junk until you have the cash,
even then look close and often if you can get your creation above that crucial 33% viability factor,
then the rest is easy,
I know of many growers like myself that have more than 4-5 HPS,LED lights,
and for various reason prefer to stay in the middle, delayed and cool zone of DIY, sure it may take a little longer..
but who really cares..?

Just standard Phillips Tornadoes, 24w about 1200-1500 lux each, sittling above this junker on a waist height shelf, is my T8 germing rack the whiskey case/bottle,, black.. pic 1 is full on concrete is a weight to raise and lower the 6 tube rack ...yeah a counterweight
