I responded to this question earlier but OK, I'll do it again. First off, I wasn't there and don't know school or police policy in that district, so I can't give you an informed answer. I will say that committing to nonviolence is the key to making the correct decision. Once violence is ruled out, the decision maker can come up with any number of nonviolent alternatives. For instance, move the class to another room and leave the girl in her chair without anything to do. This may not be practical but I give you this alternative to point out that there are infinite alternatives of responding nonviolently to a child that is passively resisting. The main point is to give her time to think about what just happened and don't give her an injustice inflicted on her to distract her from her own actions. Later on, discipline her appropriately. The beating was not appropriate. You are wrong about this.

I Don't watch fox news. I don't even have cable. there was no live streaming for the last debate, so I had to watch it the next day on youtube. Fox News is GOP. they hate the candidate I support for president. Why would I watch them, even if I could? Stop with the name calling and bullshit, and show me something relative to your argument
