Need advice with perpetual crop!

So how much are you harvesting per light?

Not allot I'm no pro mate,
I was trying to gain information not start you ranting on. If you can't answer thrn let me be like others have. So I'm guessing from what people are saying I font need to worry about a thing and keep doing what I'm doing. Apart from seeds is gonna be a problem and I need to start cloning untill I master it.
I'm just trying to gain same information as the OP because I am doing the same but it's my first time doing it. The reason I'm trying to do it is same to maximise my annual yeild. I have a baby due soon and don't want to be growing for a few months. So please if you got no info for me let me be and move on.

Yes that is very true about seeds...that's why next summer I'm going to start making my own seeds do a few outdoor plants male and females let them pollinate themselves and use the seeds for my indoor grow. Does that sound like a good plan to you Dr?

I would suggest you learn a LOT more about breeding before venturing into any outdoor plan.

I don't like it at all.
The pollen you create will blow on the wind for MILES - screwing over some other poor fools outdoor!
Highly controlled environs are needed for the best results!

Wow ok I was trying to help... I'm no pro either...my only suggestion was to keep your light cycle at 12 and 12 which I previously stated.

I know a lot about breeding (20 years researching cannabis) but don't have any hands on experience...Lol and as far as pollen goes no worries there Dr. I'm in the hood nobody grows within 1000 mile radius.

growing from seed is ok for the odd grow, seeds cost a lot of money and every plant grow diffent and gives diffent results, clones are nearly free ( cost me £10 to root 60 clones per year, 6 crops )

auto seeds is not a good way, seeds cost loads of money and yeild less than a selected well trained plants, cost over double the electria to run the lights and very diffecult to keep the flower room cool in the summer without ac ( regal plants you have the light on at night so the rooms cooler in the day)

with a small veg room and flower room you can pull 6 crops a year, auto seeds need 10 weeks+ so your not going to pull 5 crops a year

Yea that's what I think I'll do order three different type of genetics 10-20 seeds of each of those genetics grow them out choose the best one's to clone from each genetic pool...and yeah I think I'll be on the road to glory lol

That's what I have I get what your talking about every four weeks I chop
as in 2weeks from now I'm chopping then four weeks after that and so on...
What I was trying to point out was is it needed to reduce time towards end of flowering?
If not then it's info that I need because before this I only had the one and only room to veg and flower and what I did was reduced time bit by bit and then at the end of flowering it was under 12 hrs.
Does it affect? Or Is it a problem? because what ever some one says is info I need.
I wasn't trying to complicate things I just put that point across to see if it is relevant or irrelevant

It's nothing to do with electric costs or nowt.. I just used to try and replicate out doors with my first few but now that I'm doing perpetual thing in my head I think plants needed it and was just trying for figure out. Atleast I know that I didn't have to do it lmao

I used to think the same thing but i was getting good results with the light 12/12 and read up on it.
Thats why auto where first made so you could pull 2-3 crops a year in a greenhouse

You don't need a big plant for a sufficient amount of seeds. You could even keep the parent and flower out her clone the moment it rooted and get enough seeds for backup.

I then throw the seeds in a film cannister, throw it in the back of my cupboard and go on cloning, I like to have backup seeds in case something goes wrong.

yer i did that 3 years ago and tried using the seeds 6 mouths back and not one of them gernated ( 30 seeds), I was well pissed off
I thought seeds lasted for years, should kept them somewhere cool lol

Dang dude, that sounds like terrible luck. Normally if mine fail they fail at the initial germination or hermi halfway through the grow (instability I assume). You need to make sure the seeds are stored out of sunlight and in dry conditions. If it's too humid where they're stored the moisture can wreck the seeds.

I recently germinated 8 seeds that are about 5 years old and not stored in optimal conditions (ziplock bags in a desk draw) and still have 4 popped so far. 2 failed to crack and 2 have failed to pop surface yet.

Wow, didnt expect such a strong response, nice one guys for all the advice. Im gona stick with cloning all my clones before they go into flower then, the original clones are from a strong mother plant so all the clones and reclones should in theory be strong aswell. The only thing im not sure about is how im going to keep 12 cuttings from getting too big for my vegging space (80x80cm wardrobe) this is the only place ive got where i can veg em and if theyre gona be in there from cutting for 8 weeks theyre gona get fuckin massive arent they? Or just get sickly and rootbound in their 1 litre pots?? What you lot think?

you want to root all your clones before you flower the vegged plant, can't see perpetual crop working like this with one flower room
could try LBH's 4 way lst with 4 plants, this would keep them short for a long time and give you a large yeild

Most people advocate taking them before you flip. Some strains will not even bat an eye if you take a flowering clone. But some will give you "basil leaves" with no saw edge, just a rounded leaf. And some will start popping three fingered or even one fingered leaves.

What drives the three finger leaves? I have a plant in flower, grown from feminized seed, that has 3 fingered leaves.

Its difficult to keep a plant small for 8 weeks, most plants will grow 2-3 times the size in flower, have you ever vegged a plant for 8 weeks and flowered it ?
It will cost loads in electric and grow really large. where you going to dry your weed as I have said I have it working great with a small veg room and a single flower room but has to be done in a set way I would love someone to jump in a tell me a diffent way

What drives the three finger leaves? I have a plant in flower, grown from feminized seed, that has 3 fingered leaves.

Some people say its genetics. I dont know really but ive seen it after cloning more often than from seed. The one thing i do know forsure is that it doesnt seem to effect the quality of the meds. Three fingers or not, the strain i run that does it is my most potent one.

thats how i do it. i clone n veg under a 150w hps while i am flowering. keep them in small pots n they get about 2 ft tall by the time its their turn to flower
