What fan would you be using in veg bearing in mind you'll not really need the carbon filter/ extractor on if your in veg I know I didn't have it on till 2 week in flower I did a 18/6 schedule it came on a 4am and went off a 10pm then did 12/12 at 6am till 6pm

If you are worried about the fan in veg what are u gonna do when it's flowering time and it starts to smell?
You could look into the 12:1 light cycle.
It works great for veg

I've tried experimenting the other way, in flowering lighting times, a few years back. Things got f%*ked up at 13 hours. So logically I'd say you're definitely okay for 15/9 in veg...
Consider 12/12 straight through? :leaf:

Well with my temps I was around the 27c mark the whole time in veg I have only suffered with heat problems since switching from cfl in veg to hps for bloom the only fan I had going in the room was one to strengthen the stems up a bit and that was one of those 6 inch clip on desk fans when you say you don't want the neighbours to hear the fans what do you do in summer when you have a fan on I'm sure you don't switch it off when your neighbours go to bed fuck them in my opinion and if they grass you up for hearing a fan well I know what I would do and that's deafen the cunts so they can't hear my fans

I use it myself and flower using an unusual cycle as well.

12/12 from seed will obviously greatly effect your yield. It's generally for guys running big time plant counts that average 20-30grams per.

Sure Can,...! but I'd be wanting to play catch up at lights on

by giving them the max. possible lighting I can

ensure you have an even balance of kelvin

like a grunty LED is ideal

good luck

ps. you can always grow at night or alt: to ur neighbors..?

wouldnt your light cycle be dependant on the strain your running? i know some sativa dominants that will continue veg under 14 hours of light, wile some indicas will flower under 14 hours of light... i would say 16/8 would be the lowest i would go to feel safe so that any strain will continue to veg...

I didn't grow this summer because my fans not good enough to keep it cool enough lol so ive only just got back to growing its not the biggest of tents so it gets quite hot so winter I can use smaller fan but its still quite loud with abit of luck they are abit deaf and cant hear it hahaha

honestly I thought veg was just veg and that strain was just to do with plant structure ect... Thanks for the knowledge

I agree, 15/9 is cutting it close depending on strain. I've used 16/8 if I need to slow them down in veg and never had them trigger to flowering. From time to time if I want to stretch my plants before putting them into the flower room and everything in my tent is going to be flipped, I'll use 14/10 for 7-10 days and regardless of the strains I've run, they all start pre-flowering and stretch like crazy. By 2 weeks, I left one batch in for that long and they started flowering.
