I'm worried that months of hard work is going down the drain. I just harvested four days ago and hung my plants up in near perfect conditions. After about 24 hours I could notice a drastic change in coloring of the buds. Some of the larger colas were beginning to look very brown! This was not the way they looked on the plant, or day of harvest.

I've got a thermometer, hygrometer, humidifier, and fan. I keep the RH inbetween 65-70% with the fan moving air around the room without directly blowing on the buds. The temperature ranges from 65-70 degrees. Really bummed out that alot of hard work seems to be for nothing as I am not sure what to do. Below are some pictures of the browning compared to a nug from the same plant, well as a very zoomed in showing the trichomes.

Please any advise is much appreciated.

Thanks

You've done a great job, Zman. With all due respect, I'd suggest you bring down the temp and humidity a touch. If you're drying at 70 deg and 70% humidity (the high side of your range), it seems you're tempting the mold gods. I'm not saying your going to have mold problems, but you're flirting with the possibility. Maybe try lowering the temp a touch to 60 - 65 deg and the RH close to 60%. You'll still get a nice long dry without tempting mold quite so much. Just my 2 cents.........
