Mixing Blurple and WW Light

Has anyone ever done this? I just finished up a couple of light bars (140W of CXA 3070 3000K per bar) to add to my room that's currently under a few Magenta Kessils (4x M350 + 6x H150) . Does anyone have any experience mixing spectrums like this?

That's kind of what I'm thinking here. I'd only be adding another 300W to what is only about 560W to begin with, over a 4x6. Since the Kessil Blurple seems to only target the wavelengths of Photosynthesis A & B, and the 3000K is a full spectrum, it would stand to reason that when mixed, it'd produce large spikes in those needed areas. Now, I'm not sure how important the ratio and balance is in all of this, which is why I'm bringing it up. I'll be flipping to flower in a couple of days, stay tuned if you want to see first hand accounts.

I do it all the time, generally within common sense mixing the two does better than either alone assuming total wattage is constant.
I build flowering bars to enhance my warm white cob bars during flower.

It took me a minute to see what you were referring to, but yes, essentially that. I was going to point the bars in on a ~45deg angle to face into the kessil footprint (they're on a mover).

Enjoy the show! Hockeybeard you will soon witness the best of both worlds. While I may have botched a solid yield through neglect and lack of funds on my most recent run, I think you will find blurple + white = Dope. My resin quality, yield, and resilience all seemed to go up once I first combined the two. I fully think you will enjoy the results.

This was my last grow ~3 years ago. At the time I was getting between 1-1.3g/w (including ventilation and air stones it was ~.98g/w) with my blurples + t-8s/t-5s and an old school cob light that flickered out after a month and a half. I'm well on my way back to that point, but just check out those nugs that I posted. Your garden looks great so far, keep up the awesome work, and don't forget to take pictures! I may not have smell-o-vision but thankfully I have a good imagination :)

Sincerely,
IlovePlants

Yeah the plants are stupid sticky. Smell of 3 plants dominates the whole house. I had two midget bud plants so this yeild is a joke.

But I agree, where as with hid it bakes off all the oil by my guessing. I've never seen such shiny oily leaves in my life.

I attribute it to the temps and lack of uv light. May be totally wrong but it's my guess

Bonjour
There's a french led seller called Bionicled who sell hybrid pannel only hybrids 1 "colored" cob and one white on each pannel...or 2+2, 3+3!
There's a french guy who have a grow log with 2x500 real watt of those and who grow a 24 weeks sativa...crazy grow and the lights handle the forest pretty well...
I have some blurple spot but I really want to know how my lights perform alone...to know their potential before add anything!
Have a great day ★

My goal is to angle them in a bit more towards the center of the kessil footprint. Will work more on that tomorrow.

have you ever grown nice flowers with the kessils alone? I have been using my kessils mostly as supplemental light and I never thought they had what it takes to grow nice buds... but yeah mixing the spectrum should be fine I never had any issues.

Well, the product that my first round pumped out was fantastic, but the yield was lacking. However, I made a lot of mistakes and am pretty sure I may have given the girls a bit of a nitrogen overload last run. Not to mention, I had a couple occasions where they had some dehydration stress. I had a couple different soil mixes, it was my first run, I didn't know how fast they were drinking. So, I don't know what I can attribute the influence of the Kessil, other than the nugs were frosty and delicious.

But one thing i should agree is that cree cob have enough blue...so if I have to add anything it will be 660nm...UV and 730mm...
CU

I would consider adding UV, but I'd probably use a T5 bulb for that. I have a 730nm flood, but that only comes on for 10 minutes at lights out. I think with the Kessils and the 3000K, I should have enough red spike.
