Influence on the LED Luminous Efficiency from COB Packaging with Different Chip Arrangement

"In this work, the influence on the luminous efficiency of sapphire-based LED with different chip arrangement was studied. Three types of ten-chips LED with COB packaging including the circular, triangular and rectangular structures COB were fabricated respectively. It is indicated that the COB packaging with rectangular arrangement has the best luminous efficiency in three types of COB packaging structures. In conclusion, a better COB packaging way was developed."

Put sapphires in my lights I best be getting that top shelf!!

For real though? I don't think we are so stupid to fall into diamond lighting like diamond filtering for vodka.

Natural blues grown with sapphires?? I also charge 100$ a gram for sapphire grown weed lmao

They use sapphire, or silicon, to grow a part of the LEDs out of. This is about the placement of the LEDs within the COBs, or shape of COB, not what you think it's about there Mr Social Satirist. :roll:

i just wanted to say that im soon to joining the ranks of led growing army, thanks to SupraSpl. i'm awaiting my 1st cob led, an optic 120. just growing one plant at a time in my 2x2 tent. im very excited to finally be dialing in my setup to where i'll be pumping out some quality led buds.... ( aprx $1000 later for my small time setup,surely a long ways off from my cfl growing days,thats for sure. Noone said sucess came cheap!!! )
...i am growing for my personal use, afterall, so why short myself with growing less then the best?
anyway,
I do hope to get to know some of you good people in my upcoming grows.
i see we have no shortage on knowledgeful people here in the halls of led growers, thats for sure.

Which one you getting? I really wanted the 200 watt, but its ok. Ive seen what the 120 can do thanks to JimmyIndica, and its surely an upgrade from im currently using. At the moment i'm using a 240 watt full spectrum led from a local shop,(regen) and it is decent, but still lacking, so I too am excited to see 1st hand the improvement.
I plan to build a 200 watt soon when i can afford to, and at thatt ime i plan to use the 120 watt to veg.

But until then.....
I'm curious wat other led growers would do in my situation....I already know that when the optic 120 arrives im putting it to work right away, but i just cant decide if i should hang it alone above my plant, or if i should run it in unison with wat ialready have. the 240 watt full spec (actual-140 watts) WITH the optic 120watt.
Any thoughts or advice would be much apriciated....grassy ass mi amigos

So would you recommend this to just a small time home grower that is curious of a somewhat decent estimation of potency?

I mean is it accurate within a certain percentage like +/-3%

I got four 200 watters, which on hindsight might be a bit too much for my 4x4 (NOT! :eyesmoke:), but one or two might be repurposed for lighting some clones or a mom in a separate tent if they're too intense. Either way I'm excited to blast my girls with a possible maximum 800W of cob power lol! :bigjoint:

I'd say use them both. If it's still working and have already proven to grow decent bud then two lights will certainly flower your current grow better.

Well I knew where to get them, it's not hard to select the words and press the search button in the corner.

I asked what kind of accuracy it has compared to lab tested results. He was looking for a,more inexpensive solution then sending them in, so I figured he has sent some in before.

That at home test kit could be off by 5% and wouldn't know.

$100 to be able to test upwards of 20 different test.

I don't think it's that bad at all, I'm more interested about if it's accurate enough to bother with. They just came out with it last month.

eh....theplates are 10% of the equipment of which I WASN"T referring to, but anyway the "plates" in a lab are tossed by the thousands, daily, so they aren't that expensive.

I used to watch and catch the methheads, going through our lab waste once week, interesting to say the least.

....I stand by my statements. Im sorry I reflected my opinion on a PUBLIC forum @AllDayToker

Lol. Take it how you want I was just helping you not waste your time and get back on the original question. You quoted me and then responded about price. Like I said was trying to help not waste time but I guess the efforts was useless haha.
