Hei,
I'm at my first grow, and I think I've overwatered my plants, but I'm not sure, that's why I've decided to post a thread.
I have 3 girls in seedling stage, which are 13 days old, Big Bang AutoFlowering.
Specs
- 60 cm x 60 cm x 120 cm tent
- 150W MH - 20/4 - cooltube as well
- ventilator for the tent, for out-take of the air
- and a small ventilator for the plants
- 2 x ~250 ml and 1 x ~400 ml - pots
- temp ~22 C
- humidifier ~70 %
- no nutrients, ec is 0.0
- soil - biobizz lightmix (no affiliate or anything)
I've watered them after 1 week, with pH ~6 (+- 0.1) and water was bought from store, drinking water, and I saw it contains some calciu as well, not sure if that's bad, and if it is, how bad. I've kept it overnight with the bottle open, to evaporate the chlorine, and the water was adjusted with pH down.
So I've watered them after 1 week, and after 3 more days (10 days totally), I've lifted the pots, and decided that they are light again, and they might need a little water again, I know I know ... but I did it. After I've watered them the second time, I've started to see some signs of leafs curling a little, just a little down. They were growing just well, you could see them grow over night, and since the 2nd watering, they didn't grow up that good as before. Yesterday though, day 12, they were really down, and I guess the watering was the problem ...
Now, it's day 13, and they look a little better, and the 3rd node of leafs looks like it's getting a bit bigger.
I've turned off the humidifier today, as I've read that it might help drain the soil a little.
Another thing that I'm not sure about is my light. I've put it at around 40 cm since they sprout out, and kept pushing them up closer to the lamp. I was at 18 cm distance, but now I've took them down at 21 cm, because I wasn't sure if the light curled the leafs down, but I guess not.
I was also spraying them 2 times a day, with water, like 3-4 puffs / plant, but I've stopped doing that yesterday. I will get back on that once they look a bit better. I'm not sure if spraying will make it worse or help in my situation ...
PS: I've excluded the transplanting option, because they are a little too small. From what I've read/watched, I've understood that when the 5th node of leafs starts, it could be the time to transplant, but my pots are small though. Let me know what you think about that as well, once you've seen the images. Thanks!
Here are some pictures with my girls
This one looks like it has a mutation at the 2nd node (the top leaf in pic)
This one spouted out first, the others 1-3 days after. This one is the biggest.
I was thinking to try and transplant it in ~ 4 days. I saw 2 small roots at the bottom of the pot,
does this mean it's ready for transplanting ?
Let me know what you think about that!
Perspective/Tent view
Any suggestions are appreciated!
