Doesnt sound like enough. Id say youd want all the dirt to get wet so the roots go to the outside to get water. But no or not alot of runoff just to keep whats in there where it is. Id say you should be able to fit a gallon or more in each five gallon pot no prob.@Alienwidow ... So today the pots felt significantly lighter and I decided they needed water, I split up 2 gallons amidst 6 girls... Too much or not enough!?
Also they seem a little droopy still, but they normally perk up when the lights go back on at 6. Is it normal for them to droop a bit but then recover? Still too much water lol?Doesnt sound like enough. Id say youd want all the dirt to get wet so the roots go to the outside to get water. Aww i love babies. The watering sounds good, once the plants are a little crispy theres no making them uncrispy so just wait it out. Once youve replanted and have the temps dialed in your pretty much on cruise control for the next month. Id start giving them low ppms of food in a couple of weeks and start low doses of a calmag supplement every second or third watering. But other than that id just sit back and read to the baby you wont need to do much. Ya they might droop a bit after a transplant but theyll bounce back. Just make sure your letting the pots dry out pretty good before watering again. I lift them gently to test how heavy they are, or poke my finger gently into the soil. If its still damp your probably good for a couple more hours. You dont want to water until the pot feels light in your hand. Also they seem a little droopy still, but they normally perk up when the lights go back on at 6. I'm sorry and thanks for the help. My boyfriend is out of town so it's just me, my 8 month old, and 18 needy women lol
1000watts of lights for a seedling, am I the only one to think 1000 watt is too high for seedlings? That depends on what lights your running. Led/cfl/t5s ive used with foilar feeding and have not had 1 crispy chicken..
In the picture it looks like the lights are about three feet away. Should be ok.1000watts of lights for a seedling, am I the only one to think 1000 watt is too high for seedlings?

I was so happy when I stumbled upon this site almost 4 years ago.But what I soon realized was just asking one question you could be bombarded with many conflicting recommendations leading to more confusion. Its all about sound advice and solving problems efficiently. I keep my eye on guys giving bad advice because sometimes people really listen to bad advice and kill their plants. I try to grow a stronger riu community. See, read what happened when you left this thread for example.......https://www.rollitup.org/t/is-this-plant-ok.889954/#post-12065806

There are many people here worthy of listening to and learning from but your job is figuring out who they are.
I can offer this bit of information the only true way to become a better grower is personal experience. You will have success and failures learn from both.
Good luck on your current endeavor !
