I am on day 4 of flowering of my first grow. Already I believe I have 6 confirmed males out of 8 plants. And one of the remaining two is looking suspect as well. How could this have happened? I assumed I would get at least three females...This sucks.

Coulda been your ph, that has a lot to do with the sex of a plant. Hopefully you were checking it. Good luck with the other 2.

pics would help, just to be sure i would take some pics if you do have males i would separate them and grow them out and make hash, best of luck on ur next grow, i guess we can't win em all. :peace:

Yeah I checked PH constantly. It was a 10 pack of seeds, two of which never sprouted. This blows...can females ever have preflowers that stand up or is that only males? If they can't then yeah this is a bummer man.

A Clone Army

make clones of the females than u will have tons of girls

I would love it if I was but I've done a lot of research. I would love to be wrong, but I fear I am not. Oh well. I'll know for sure by the weekend.

Hang in there.... you only need one female and then you can clone her... keep your fingers crossed :D

make clones then you will have tons of girls and you wont have to worry about having 2girls,you can turn 2girls into 200girls just think about it

I can see why all the rules have all the sudden came in to effect with all the sh*t talkers... if its his first grow and is asking for help... why wouldnt I put that?

Hey now... wait a minute... I wasn't talking shit...... I simply pointed out something you posted that is incorrect and I asked where you got the
idea that PH affects the gender of a plant. It's a valid question. No need to fly me the finger.

Whatever... PH does not affect the gender of a plant.... and I still don't know where you got that idea.

She is wondering where you have heard that the pH will affect the sex... I'm wondering where you have heard this also... You are the one that is shit talking. I understand you were trying to help too, but I sure have never heard of pH affecting the sex of a plant, just it's nutrient uptake.

Well I apologize, I thought you were being a smart ass. Yes indeed it does affect a plant... I know Ive read it on here some where but I can find a link regarding it Im sure if I search.
The plants whole entire environment has to do with the sex of a plant.
You are not going to get a female plant if the ph is effed up the whole time I guarantee that. Even if its a fem seed, it will herm.
