Hola, folks! Are my misters supposed to be doing this? All the water's coming out in two 45 degree jets instead of a mist. 400gph pump sitting right there on the water.

Distinction noted. However these are 180 sprayers and the water isn't even coming close to that. Is that just how these work and no big deal?
The pump likely doesnt have enough pressure to run them then. The 400gph will be the pumps open flowrate, the important spec for running sprayers is the pumps maximum head. Every 27" of head equates to 1psi, Fountain pumps (low flow, high head) tend to be better than waterfall pumps (high flow, low head) for sprayers .

That's a great idea. I recently changed my entire aero system to use multiple pumps for different zones. I until this point, I've had no need to think of going to a booster pump because I needed to move volume, but now, I think it will be looking into one. In the few videos I've seen, they all use ~.25in flex line. I don't really know much about them. Can it be converted directly to 3/4 pex?No sense buying a bigger pump if it only moves more water, it needs more pressure, not flowrate. An aquatec 8800 would completely fill a tote that size with mist in a few seconds using far fewer nozzles.

Not only bigger, but I took your advice and went with this pump here. It's doing the job beautifully! Not particularly happy that my local hydro store sold me an underpowered and overpriced pump. They charged me almost twice the amount that Harbor Freight did for a vastly superior pump. Ugh. I mean, I want to support those guys but they really make it hard to do so.No sense buying a bigger pump if it only moves more water, it needs more pressure, not flowrate. What pump did you get?
My hydro store matches online Google prices of all its products. Will special order too. It's awesome, if I do say so myself.
Its pretty easy to adapt 1/4" tube to 15mm pex, no clue whats available where you are for 3/4 pipe but have a look at inline washing machine/dishwasher outlets (basically an unequal tee with a ball valve on a male threaded outlet) and female thread to 1/4" pushfit adapters for hooking reverse osmosis systems upto the mains water supply.
