first try at hempy

I'm trying hempy for the first time.
This is only my second grow and I'm using a 2 liter bottle with straight perlite. It's a Bag seed so not sure of the strain. Oh yeah indoor and germinated the seeds about mid October. Out of 5 only 3 split and 1 sprouted. I moved her from soil at 1 week to the 2 liter bottle.

Considering that you have 1 solid grow under your belt I would say it is damn time to start trying other unconventional methods to grow cannabis.

For the first few days I water with just water (oops ) once I seen it start to yellow. Got some botanicare cns17 grow.
And started feeding.

So no need to top. I think I'm going to transplant to a 3 gal bucket since this 2 liter seems way too small.

Looks nice, I'll stick around for this one, how big is the space were it's being grown? remember it'll double it's size when you switch it to flowering! Good job!

I have about 3x3x6 area to use in my closet. I will use the1000w
dimmable set to 600 watts again. 6 days ago I flipped the lights 12 and 12 and it's already showing sex (yay it's a girl ). I wasn't sure of sex so i didn't veg that long. I will take some clones tomorrow and plan to veg those a bit longer/bigger.

Right now I'm just using 5x 23w cfl bulbs but plan to turn on the hps soon.

I`d get 2 to 6 clones rooted and chuck them in with it when you flip on the hps, take a few more clones and veg them up

If your running 1000w`s best to have 4 to 8 under it unless you`ve grown monster tree to soak up all that light your paying to run

21 days into flowering now.

I have seen a couple leaves curling down. Not sure why. Maybe low humidity?
The humidity is at 16% with the light on. Been running 600 watt hps. With the light off rh is at 25%. Temps at 84 max.

She'd be drinking a lot up around 84 and in that low humidity mate. Be careful of overferting. Maybe of the 2 feeds you're giving each day, make 1 of those just water or a 1/2-1/4 dose of nutes. I am not quite sure what to do in these situations myself, maybe someone with more experience can chime in here. It does say on my nute bottle however to be aware that plants will drink more than normal in high heat and low humidity.

I have just had a dose of overferting myself 4 weeks into flower. A few days of our normal temps (average is about 84 this time of year) but much lower than normal humidity when I was bottom feeding and I overferted them... lol stupid me. I should have realised they were taking in near twice as much as normal.

I am now giving them about 500ml to 1litre of plain ph'ed water on their second feed (regular feed at lights on). Seems to have helped. I am in 10 litre pots 50/50 coco/perlite dtw. I didn't go hempy as it is my first indoor coco grow and I wanted to be able to fix anything I screw up easily (found hempy hard to flush - seems to be more of a dialled in grower technique as there is little room for error).

I noticed a couple leaves at the bottom curling down. Not
Sure why maybe low humidity? With 600 watt hps temp is 84 max. And humidity is 16% and 24%with the light off. Been watering 1 or 2 times a day to not let the bottom of the bucket go dry. I feed CNS 17 bloom with every watering.

Cool thanks man. I think I will give that a shot with only half nutrients on one feed and regular on the other and see how that goes.

Here she is at 5 weeks flower.

I think I'm starting to have a root rot issue so I fed with ph'd water and 3% hydrogen peroxide today. (10ml to a gallon)

I was watering in the morning and evening before I shut off the light.

Now just watering in the mornings (when I turn the light on). She's not drinking as much now the stretch is done.

Got her some calmag and she seems to be doing ok. I don't think it was root rot after all.

Week 7 and I'm only going to give ph'd water from now til harvest maybe another 10 days or so. Yield is going to be weak. I feel screwed this one up. Oh well I have 2 seedlings ready for round 3. I'm going to do soil next run.

What kind of light did you use? It looked like a CFL, how many/watts? I would think you'd need at least 50w if not more because of the height - how close was the bulb during flower, after the stretch? It looks like minor nute burn but in my book that's not a bad thing to do.. how often did you water? I water mine every 12 hours to keep the hempy rez more aerated..

I'm using a 1000 watt hps dimmed to 600 watts or 60%. I keep it about 18 to 24 inches away. It seems like the last 2 weeks not much progress in the buds and they Are shooting out fox tails on tops. I water once a day. I got the light used so maybe I need to switch the bulb out. I did veg under cfl.

I would say you should wait another week or two. It will phatten up yet..

Okay, I waited another week (56 days of flower) and chopped her down.

I'm sure she could of easily went another week but I decided fuck it!

LGTM!! How many days did you let it hang to dry like that?? Mine's on day 69 of flower, but I'm starting to learn that a) the 1st week basically don't count and b) Mine's mostly sativa (hybrid) so I think it will take longer than indica. That said, I'm going to take her down in another couple of days as it's about done now.
