I rephrase that to my dimmer knob...
I wanna know how many years we expect them to last? Is the guarantee 2 years? Is 5 years per ballast reasonable? Less than 3 and Id be really pissed off.

I know one thing, I'd trust a lumatek in the house more than an old style HPS ballast. Just in case anything were to happen. I hate night cycle for this para reason also.

I have the older ones with 250 400 600 but no boost and I'd say they have run for about 5-6 years or so. The one which is a bit dodgy on the dimmer is temperamental on whether it runs at 600 or dims to 400 by itself? A very safe ballast ime and I had a Lummii crap plastic thing go into meltdown in my veg tent and never again!!!

It's the vicar's knickers for ceiling heights of 3m and higher. It's ten percent more efficient than SE HPS... but it still has the terrible HPS spectrum and it's even hotter than SE. I wanted to believe in the tech, but I just couldn't persuade myself to overlook its shortcomings.

Okay, I'll be honest; I couldn't get a handle on mounting DE lamps vertically so I'm full of feelings of sour grapes!

The straight truth is that 315W CMH lamps with the digital square wave ballast are the most efficient lamp in HID lighting right now, and there's no compromise on spectrum quality.

If you want better than that, you've gobs of COBs to choose from!
Thanks for that mate...
I knew me and you could get along one day, and share good info.

My knob gives you a little tickle when you twist it, must be an earth issue? I've got 6 so I just never use its dimming function but apart from that never a problem, keep cool as a cucumber too ;)
No sir- in my case the ballast just couldn't manage to keep a 600W lamp struck and running for any length of time.

What is the lowest temps you guys had without issues because I let it have 14 dripped from 18 to 14 but I thaut that it was too cold,

I have successfully found a way to grow without drooping night or day but after the 14 today I think I'm gonna reset it to 18 again because I had drooping ladies

I never get any drooping and I run both co2 and none supplemented grows normally. The CO is 35/30 and the standard is 25/20 but when I harvest I drop down to 15/16 and they still fine. In fact I have 3 in garden for past 3 weeks they look banging :bigjoint:

I like the plant and she will come good, check my tips out for some 'best practices' and tomorrow very lightly dampen the soil with plain ph'd water, don't wet her till run off just a mildly moist treat then get the cfl light right on her and don't feed her any nutes.

I would trim off her lower leaves in a week, only as marked nothing more. Clean her leaves buddy get a grow room soft paint brush, soil droppings can be bad for leaves if they get damp during watering, transpiration, humidity etc.

Personally I see her being better as a harvest plant for a thick stocky plant than the clone you have at the side. Is there something on the bigger clones leaves, can't tell? Also has it been topped yet?

This is gonna make me look like a right t#at lol but the marks are actually cloning powder!! Haven't topped it yet but will be today, its a clone of a strain I was given called pineapple chunk, don't know what it will harvest like but I have got about 6 in 12/12 now. Good advice Cl@rksville, will follow it and see how she turns out, nothing to lose now its in a bigger pot.

Usually I have very good success with cloning but when I tried to clone the 3 plants I grew from seed (crit kush- thc bomb- incerible bulk) they don't seem to be rooting, especially the critical kush which has just withered away.
