Another fact is that since 2011 there have been approximately 2,000 refugees that have been granted permission to enter the US. Of those 2,000 refugees in the last 4 years (that's 500 per year if you can't even math), 50% of them were children under the age of 18. Many of those children are orphans. Of the 2,000 refugees from Syria in the past 4 years only 2% of them have been "military age" males. Again, if you can't even math, that's about 40 males between the age of 18 and 30.

Another common hashtag right now with conservatives is to say that we must support homeless veterans before we take any refugees. Seems reasonable at first glance. I'm 100% in favor of taking care of veterans in any way possible, especially homeless vets, those with healthcare issues, and ones with PTSD and other mental health problems. I hate war, but I think that absolutely no expense should be spared on helping veterans. The problem is that republicans have voted against funding for veterans programs. In 2014 republicans killed a bill (http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/02/27/us-usa-veterans-congress-idUSBREA1Q26O20140227) that would increase healthcare and education benefits for veterans. There is no fiscal year 2016 fundign for Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) vouchers. Ahead of Memorial Day this year an amendment was introduced to the House Appropriations Committee to provide housing support for 22,500 homeless veterans. This amendment by Rep Kaptur failed by a roll call vote 29-21. No Republican voted for it.

Was it because were trillions in debt that Barack keeps trying to raise ceiling on debt and keep giving people food stamps welfare etx and can't pay for vets. Pass a drug test get help for 6 months tops after that your on your own. You can come back.for.more assistance in a 2 years period or so. If we got rid of the druggies dumbasss and people that don't work just so they can suck it.out of the government needs to stop. And then no more money will be needed to pay for vets. Vets, elderly, should get first dibs as long as they were apart of society and not a menace.

Reread it again before blabbing they want to put us more In debt for vets while giving millions to other countries as well giving handouts to every lazy person that don't want to work. But we need to go in more debt for vets......that slung wrong and will be the new big think on riu. Vets deserve everything way before other countries refugees and lazy americans. Take away from lazy asses and give.it to who deserves it is what needs to happen
