RDWC reservoir placement question

I'm planning to build a 4 site rdwc for my 5'x5' tent. I would like to have the control reservoir located outside of the tent for space and ease of access.

Does the reservoir need to be at the same height level as the grow buckets in order to keep all water levels equal?

Anyone with remote reservoir experience please comment.

More or less yes. All water levels will remain the same regardless if you raise or lower the resevior. Raising or lowering the res might result in an over flow. Water level will remain the same in all sites, unless you use too powerful a pump and too small of return lines could also result in an over flow.

Are you using a reservoir into control then drawing back with a pump in the control/header? My system has a different level in the header to the buckets anyway, I am going to mount mine higher this time due to physical hurdles I will let you know m8

A control bucket should be the same level as the other buckets. A top off rez should be above the water line in the rest of the buckets so gravity can feed the system (w/ float valve in control bucket)
