In my flowering room I have a girl that was topped a couple of times, tied down pretty hard, took some clones and tied her down little bit more. Started from a rockwool cube and put into a larger one and eventually transferred into the 5 gallon bucket that she currently resides in with hydroton. Here is a picture of her right now, which as of today she has been into 12/12 for exactly 9 days and in dwc for 16 days.

I have been doing some minor LST and did just mash her down a little bit on the edges to allow the center stalks to finish catching up with the outer ones. I wanted to do scrog in a section of my flowering room with this girl to really get the most from the light and the stem structure seems perfect for it.. perhaps it's too late to even try.

My flowering room is just shy of 4x4 and has plenty of height to work with, which has me thinking that I might want to toss another one or two in here. How many do you think my flowering room could hold comfortably? I plan on removing the nightstand and tossing another light up near the wall, running in the opposite direction of the current light. That way it allows me to be able to step into my room or crawl on the floor to get something, lol. I'm using a Mars Hydro Reflector-96 which according to them the coverage area is 2'x3'.. would getting another one these be suggested to fill the entire flowering room or should I consider something else? It would hang perfectly how I would want it to run. Would hanging mylar in my flowering room be helpful even though it's painted flat white?

With all of that a side my veg room had some issues, which I believe has lead to a couple mutations because I don't think these clones are looking that normal. I also had not been using nutes at this point with the clones causing them to purple and stiffen entirely.. while the timer issues happened at the same time for a couple of days turning off after 12 hours. Since then I have fed them properly and fixed the timer, but here is how they are coming out..

4' X 4' can hold 4 if you do SOG or SCROG. A second light is always a good idea if heat is not an issue. Anything that reflects light can help.

A 4x4 can hold 16. But, 4 comfortably. 1 square foot per plant is all that is really required. The second light couldn't hurt but you might be better with multiple CFL bulbs that you can move around or use for under canopy lighting. In my experience, mylar isn't that big of an advantage over paint. I don't think it's worth the effort. I had some dark red stems on my plants once and a cal/mag/iron supplement took care of it.

Knowing that I can hold 4 comfortably is reassuring.. doubt I would ever have more than 3-4 flowering at a time anyways. The one I have going now in flowering is growing in quite thick even since yesterday there is a noticeable difference.. assuming this is the switch growth. Should I be tying my girl down, opening her up, or is it too late to run a screen for a scrog since I'm like 10 days into flower? I just want to make the most of my light.. my buddy said that if it's too late to scrog that I should consider defoliation.

Might be a little late for a good ScrOG but not too late. I like to have my plants touching the screen when i flip but you can certainly still do LST. A ScrOG is really just an easier way to LST everything to the same height. As far as defoliation goes, just take a few of the oldest and lowest fan leaves, opening it up for airflow. I like to put 1 or 2 13 watt CFL bulbs under the canopy too so the bottom leaves can photosynthesize some light too. In lieu of that, lollipop.

I decided that it's too late to mess with scrogging it for right now and I'll just have to revisit the idea in a couple of months when I have the time.

I wanted to start flowering at least 3 of the 4 in my veg room soon, but from what I can tell there won't be enough room or light. The picture provided in the first post shows my flowering room perfectly.. what kind of additional lighting do you think I would need to do what I want successfully? Not trying to promote and will remove url on request, but here is what I am currently using, https://goo.gl/GF9ZU9 do you think a second one would be ideal since I can grab it for like $150 with free shipping? Or would two of them not be enough for my flowering room, or are there better options?

I'm not sold on the LEDs yet. Maybe I'm behind the times? I'd go with a 400 or 600 watt HPS if you have the room. A 600 that can be dialed back would be ideal. Then you could keep your LED in the veg room

LED is legit, it's just the startup cost is more than traditional lighting. Once costs come down I'm pretty sure the majority will be using them. Unfortunately the market is flooded with crap quality low end units that are better at taking your money than growing a plant right now.

LED is real. Real expensive if you buy them. There's guys on here building the real deal. And a lot cheaper than any "pro" LED unit online.
