So what if they would have gotten an education and applied themselves and learned something instead of being lazy and having 10 kids they would not need to work at these high school jobs amd or older retired just want something to do jobs.. to make it.you gotta strive and want to be something . If you don't try and don't care to.make it guess what you deserve minimum wage and no finer things its.your own fault not the governemnt your and your only.
Boy you're a real Prince, devoid of any compassion for the less fortunate or anyone who happens to be at a lower station in life then you are, blame the victim it's simpler that way.

Back when I worked construction there was a kid who was hired as a Iron worker apprentice got engaged to his high school sweetheart when he landed that gig, one month before he was to become a journeyman he was coming home from a DJ job he had on the side and lost his life to a semi that ran the light because the driver fell asleep, 2 weeks before Christmas.

We took a collection down at the Union hall for the fiancée. She went to work at Mc Donalds for minimum wage, one night her job called and asked her to cover for someone who called out, she needed the money but couldn't get a baby sitter so she left her 6 year old to watch the 3 year old. There was a fire in her building when the firemen broke down her door because the kids were screaming.

When the Moms came home she was arrested for child endangerment, it was in the papers.

She was NOT a lazy person just happened to be at a low station in life.
This was in Brooklyn New York, pre 2001 year I retired.

So she left the 6 year old to watch the 3 year old... that family made great decisions. Pretty stupid if you ask me. So if he worked and supported the family the kids would recieve several hundred a month in social security. So X2 say that's atleast 7 800 dollars. It could be.more or less. So what's the point of this story... is it sad yes to a point. But I have no sympathy for lazy dead beats that want handouts. Was she or that family dead beats doesn't sound.like it but how.much more trash can you be for leaving 2 kids at home alone ... thanks for the story
Have a great day

so say 7 dollars an hour(it was 6 something I believe) to make easy so 7 dollars x10 hrs is 70 dollars after taxes roughly 15%. So 70x15%= 10.50 so 10.50 dollars out of check so 70-10.50=59.50 correct? She decides to leave a 6 year old and a 3 year old home alone to make 60 dollars. She could have sat home amd sold her TV for for 60 dollars. No sympathy she is a stupid bitch that don't deserve kids for doing something so cruel etc to children. She deserves everything g she gets plus some in my eyes.

It is not as simple as that. For example, burger flipper x, gets an increase in wages from $7.50 to $15 an hour. That pay increase affects the profits and overall bottom line. Do you think any rational business owner would just eat the increased labor costs? HELL NO! They will increase the cost of the product, in this case, the food where this burger flipper got his hefty raise, will have to be raised dramatically, offsetting or negating any increase in wages.

If you really want people to get more bang out of their buck, we have to reduce the deficit and keep inflation at bay. Americans our getting less for their dollar not because of low wages but because of inflation and debt. This is a complex and lengthy discussion to get into that most people on here would not understand. Raising wages is not the answer. That is political posturing that rallies the base because to an uneducated population, it sounds good, right?
The rise in price to enact a living wage is negligible, that point has already been addressed. Small businesses who net under $X amount should be subsidized by large corporations who net over $X amount. After all, shifting the tax burden onto the poor and middle-class was done by corporate America, I can even show you the court cases that did it if anyone's interested;

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buckley_v._Valeo

"(1976), was a landmark case in American campaign finance law. In a per curium opinion, the Supreme Court of the United States struck down on First Amendment grounds several provisions in the 1974 Amendments to the Federal Election Campaign Act. The most prominent portions of the case struck down limits on spending in campaigns, but upheld the provision limiting the size of individual contributions to campaigns."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_National_Bank_of_Boston_v._Bellotti

"(1978), is a U.S. constitutional law case, which defined the free speech right of corporations for the first time. The United States Supreme Court held that corporations have a First Amendment right to make contributions to ballot initiative campaigns. The ruling came in response to a Massachusetts law that prohibited corporate donations in ballot initiatives unless the corporation's interests were directly involved."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citizens_United_v._FEC

"(2010), is a U.S. constitutional law case dealing with the regulation of campaign spending by organizations. The United States Supreme Court held that the First Amendment prohibited the government from restricting independent political expenditures by a nonprofit corporation. The principles articulated by the Supreme Court in the case have also been extended to for-profit corporations, labor unions and other associations."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McCutcheon_v._FEC

"(2014), was a landmark campaign finance case before the United States Supreme Court challenging Section 441 of the Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA), which imposed a biennial aggregate limit on individual contributions to national party and federal candidate committees."

That's how we went from a prosperous New Deal society where the rich paid their fair share, with a strong middle class to economic disparity not seen since the Great Depression. And go through this thread.. every single conservative wants to blame poor people for it...

This is a completely absurd talking point to anyone that has studied economics, poor people are a result of a failed economic policy, not the cause. Economics is one of those things you can't really learn just from watching 3 minute YouTube clips from Liberty and Prager University's..

Dude, Pada believes that achievement in this country is flipping burgers, that's why you don't understand what he's trying to say. He thinks that people grow up wanting to be a fry cook at Arby's. That's why he thinks they should get a livable wage, because aspiring to clean out the toilets at Hardee's is where it's at. It's abnormal to him to think that normal people attempt to better their position in life, and will use this job as an opportunity to better their skills so they can move up into management, but instead pada's normal is someone who is complacent scrubbing the shit stains off the floor at the Valero bathroom, because like astranauts, doctors and other childhood occupational dreams, being the cum mopper at the xxx store off the highway should be more than enough to live comfortably!

Thank you for the uplifting "feel good" story.

One less union member/liberal.
Liberal cunt has to work to support the kids she shit out.
Saintly McDonalds offers her an opportunity for more money.
She decides to endanger her young children and lands in the pokey.

Thank you for brightening our evening with such a heartwarming, purely fictional bullshit fantasy.

I hope the story ended with mom losing her job at McDonalds because of her arrest and the children being placed in foster homes. Ooh, ooh, does mom overdose in some motel while turning tricks?

Lol, keep dreaming ya workaday sucker. My status is well known on this forum. I retired in 2005 at the ripe 'ol age of 36, a few weeks before my 37th birthday. Retired to North Carolina and started a part time business a year later that probably earns me more each month, working just 20-30 hours, than you make in two months pulling whatever handle you pull all day.

Fuck unions, I grew up in a union family. I wouldn't give a squirt of piss for your life.
