Lighting/Ventilation question...

Hey all,

Wondering what distance my light (600MH4200k) should be from the plants at this stage.
In this photo it is about 40" above.

Is the 4200k suitable for veg or should I try and find something higher, I was using 6500k CFL's before.
Tent is 36x36x70, and the bulb is rated for 60k lumens.

As far as ventilation goes, right now I am just forcing cool air into the lower vent.
If odor is not an issue can I simply allow the hot air to vent out of the top holes?
Or will this not work?

You want the bulb to be close enough to penetrate the full plant but not close enough to burn it, hold yor hand at plant height, if it's uncomfortable move the light up, if it's cool move the light down.

Yeah if odour isn't an issue your venthilation will be fine aslong as its keeping your temp/humidity in check

What this guy ^^ says. 40" sounds far too high for good use of the light. But you are the one there. Just wondering why you are using a tent?

I would rec a 4in fan/filter combo for exchange. Get a decent combo cheap on amazon
Height of your fixture really depends on on much you wantem to stretch out.
I would work it down little after they take
4.2k is fine for veg
