pistils in early veg?

Hi all here's my hybrid x in a 70L dwc the plant is around 2-3 weeks into veg, from seed. I know the difference between stipules and pistils. But I found what looks like pistils in a stipule location, like I say I'm only 2-3 weeks in to veg I want to veg for 6 weeks.. I can't remember this stage much from my first (previous) grow cause I was trying all sorts of crazy shit! Can someone tell me if it's normal or not...? I'm also using a 400w hps for veg and then a 600W hps for flower, nutes are canna aqua vega a&b canna aqua flores (for flower) alongside pk13 14 and overdrive...

Hi man,

This is totally normal, I have my girls showing sex in veg and then I switch.

They start showing usually around the 3 week mark for me...

Thanks dude, so I'm right in thinking I can take her all the way to the 6 week mark for veg with her showing her lady bits... hmm cool I just wanted to check as I don't have a back up plant on standby to put in its place

Yes definitely dude! You can veg for as long as needs be, but yeah it's totally normal what your seeing

That's normal that's how you sex a plant during veg. Most females will shoot out pistils after day 40 of veg. Males a little sooner will shoot out mushroom / claws in the same spot.




Honestly there's no such thing as a 6 week strain. Nor even a 8 week strain. I've never come across a strain that finishes in less than 65 days no matter what the breeder says the flower time is.

Hey harley! 18/6 is my preferred schedule! I'm getting tempted to up the veg time to 8 weeks. Just want this run to be finished by April 1st at the latest!

Do it! Your yield will be much better. The only plants I veg for less are the first in a new grow to get smoke. After that it's 2 months veg andif i had the time and space I would for 4 months. I have done it but the bitches get way big and still stretch some.

Hmm I wish I had the space to veg for 4 months! I think 6 to 8 weeks is more than enough for my 2ft square space!

@THCBrain you should definitely up your veg time - two weeks makes a lot of difference for the sunshine daydream i run @hotrodharley is right, it will make the yield much better! right now, i aim for no less than eight weeks and try to get to ten weeks.

Great sign this having them show you that they are getting ready to say (FLOWER ME),I all ways wait for seedling's to do this rather than clone for sex,i think it is just has fast .Normally with in 3/4 week they will give you a idea of male or female.
