Nitrogen toxicity issue in 12/12, how to proceed?

1.5 gallon grow bags
8 days into 12/12 cycle
2' feet tall average
600 watts
4'x2' closet
82 avg temp
FFOF soil w/ added worm casting
Given dose of FF Grow Big a week before flipping to 12/12 cycle

Plants have yellow/brown tips, "claws", signs of nitrogen toxicity; rather significant
Flushed with clearex and pure water 5 days ago (3 days into 12/12)
Newest growth (smallest leaves) seem to be overcoming it, less/no yellowing on tips

Soil is dry and needs watering
Should I water with pure water or Tiger Bloom (2-8-4)?
Will the nitrogen in Tiger Bloom have a negative effect on my toxicity issue or will the significantly higher P to N have a positive effect?

W/O pics we are guessing. But I would guess you should just water. You say "a dose" of Grow Big. How much is a dose?

Usually when you screw up like that, use plain water ONLY.

never water with pure water, always water with a complete nutrients solution with low ec (0.5-1.0) to correct excess of salt. pure water will only increase your issue because your medium will be out of balance.

I use only water and it works just fine when i mess up. Flushing with only water to get the other salts and nutes out will be fine. Let it soak up the water try again with nutes.

Water will mobilize nutrients that have been left behind because of a number of issues. The straight water you apply will not be "straight" long after contacting the soil.

Yeah. You need to do it with the amount of three times the size of your pot, when i had it in a 1.5gal pot, freebie auto, i purposely burned it cause i was a dumbass experimenting on how much it could actually take before i burn it. I used 4.5 gallons to completely flush out the nutrients in the sink, five days later it went back to regular fast growth and i lowered my dosage down to 2/3 nutes. So in reality i stunted it by five days and still got me an ounce of personal smoke.

I find it hard to believe.

Knowing about diffusion I don't see how adding to the already high EC will correct anything. The high EC feed was too high for the EC within the plant. The plant will use the water but the leftover salts are what starts literally coating the roots preventing uptake.

This was an all natural way, cause i didnt know there was such thing as a flushing agent at the time(i was still a noob grower), this was an old technique my father taught me.

"Many hydroponic gardeners see this problem. It’s the beginning of nutrient burn. It indicates that the plants have all the nutrients they can possibly use, and there’s a slight excess. Back off the concentration of the nutrient solution just a touch, and the problem should disappear. Note that if the plants never get any worse than this leaf (figure 3), then the plants are probably just fine. Figure 4 is definitely an over-fert problem. The high level of nutrients accumulates in the leaves and causes them to dry out and burn up as shown here. You must flush with clear, clean water immediately to allow the roots to recover, and prevent further damage. Now find the cause of the high nutrient levels."

You would want to wait until the soil is dried out before feeding again. Not right after you just fixed your problem if growing in organic soil

The best thing to do is don't OD the plant(s). The yellowing is most likely being caused by underwatering causing root loss or root loss due to high/low concentrations of NPK. When the moms start yellowing I up the watering but I keep the NPK the same in the mix. When leaves yellow it means that it's not getting the appropriate level of nutrients for whatever reason. PH...rotten critters, who knows.

Your approach makes more sense. I mean as an old ER nurse it makes as much sense to me to give more ferts as it does to give an OD'd junkie more smack instead of naloxone.
